"NW Hazmat gave me good instructions on the phone for submitting a sample and the Chain of Conveyance form (required by law).
I sent in the sample on Saturday and by Monday they contacted me by phone with the results. Very professional.

My results were negative but if I'd needed further follow-up I would have hired them to do it.

The only other lab I found was in Portland and their fees were higher."

"They were hired by Lowe's, the price was packaged by Lowe's. The price was reasonable. It was not cheap, not a great deal and not excessive. For responsiveness, it was a little tricky, there were some problems coordinating with Lowe's but Drainpros were pretty good. We had a commitment with Lowe's that the work would be done by a certain time. That was from the sales person at Lowe's. There was paperwork to be done between Lowe's and Drainpros and their paper work took an extra couple of days. We were scheduled to leave town. When we told Drainpros about our problem, they were very effective. It is the Lowe's system that am faulting."

"The first thing I appreciated about Alan was his concern about covering my floors so as not to get paint on them. He took no shortcuts in taping and papering the room and even removed the closet shelf so as not to get paint on it. He requires more excellence of himself than most customers would require of him. He did an excellent job of patching nail holes and wall blemishes prior to painting. Everything was returned to its place when he was done and except for a beautifully painted, blemish-free bedroom, you'd never know he had been there."

FAQs for toxicity and mold removal projects in Roseburg, OR

Remediation should keep mold from returning as long as the moisture source is eliminated. Fix leaks, control humidity, and replace water-damaged materials, then schedule periodic inspections to stay ahead of new growth. With those safeguards, your home can stay mold-free for the long haul while protecting both health and property value.

Most pros recommend leaving the home while they work on mold remediation. Removing mold stirs up airborne spores that can aggravate respiratory issues, and contractors can work more efficiently in an empty space. A short, temporary relocation keeps everyone in your family safe and lets the crew finish the job without interruption.

Mold shouldn’t return once the moisture problem is fixed. Stay vigilant: repair leaks right away, keep humidity below 50 percent with a dehumidifier placed in damp areas, and improve ventilation where needed. Routine checks for leaks and mold and quick repairs go a long way toward keeping your home mold-free.

Mold spores can trigger nasal congestion, throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or skin rashes. People with asthma, allergies, or weakened immune systems often feel the effects sooner and more intensely. Some molds also release mycotoxins linked to serious respiratory or neurological issues. Swift remediation and better ventilation are the best defenses.
