"If any craftsman deserved 6 stars it would be John LaFata and his sons! Hired them to repair severely damaged bricks on our chimney and below the front porch, as well as some angled bricks underneath a window sill. Learned from John that those are called soldier bricks. That is the real value here -- John is a wealth of knowledge, which he freely shares as he inspects your job. His sons Gio and Marco are just as friendly, all the while working with skill and speed. They said the job (chimney, front porch, window sill) would take two days and it did. Even when I added a chimney cap and filling in an old milk door opening, they did not flinch and the added cost was minimal. The LaFata team arrived promptly each morning, worked carefully and safely, took the time to protect surrounding landscaping, and fully cleaned up at the end of each day. Absolutely the type of professionals that would likely earn the praise of a prominent Canadian home renovation TV host. This was a brick project and LaFata is already my only choice for a future driveway concrete project. Bonus: They like dogs, which is great since we have a couple. The days they worked at my house also just happened to be two of the warmest, most humid we have had so far this year but that did not affect this team one bit -- nor did the loss of power for an hour one afternoon. I recommend this business without any hesitation."
