"Was happy to receive same day service after contacting this company when my garage door failed to open and close electronically. The problem was quickly diagnosed and repaired. Workers were very professional and explained things to me in layman?s terms. I received the advertised discount on cost of services. I highly recommend this company.

"Called them in an emergency. We had a garage door barely hanging on. And we had a classic car under it. The door had came off the tracks from the rollers being never serviced. They got me some new rollers, fixed the tracks and gave my door an adjustment and a grease job. Works good as new!!"

"I was offered an appointment within a few days of my inquiry. They brought all the possible parts for whatever the repair job entailed. I had an old opener repaired (the garage spring needed replacing, not the opener) and had a new one installed on the other door. The work was done in one afternoon. Everything was neat and clean when they left. I would definately call them for any other job in the garage area. They definately knew what they were doing!"

"Brian personally came and gave me an estimate. He could have easily recommended a new door as the solution, but instead assured me it could be fixed with a part he would get from the manufacturer. He also pointed out an issue with the opener that had caused the door frame to break. (Oh, how I wish I'd listened to my wife's concerns that "the garage door seems to be making an awful lot of noise when it opens and closes.") I'm not sure if the exact part came in or not, but they were able to repair it and reinforce it so that now it works perfectly. I happened to catch them during flu season, so there were a couple of re-schedules along the way; other than that, everything went perfectly! This was a metal roll-up door (original, circa 1998) for a single-car garage on a small townhouse, btw."

FAQs for garage door opener repair or adjustment projects in Rougemont, NC

Garage door costs range somewhat broadly, depending on the type you choose. However, you’ll also need to factor in labor costs, which vary from state to state and between pros.

A chain driven operator costs between $150 - $250. For a belt driven operator it is usually $160 - $450. A screw-driven operator is between $250-$500.

To keep garage door opener repair costs down, you should check that the whole apparatus is working normally on a regular basis. This means making sure that the tracks of your door are greased and fully operational, and that the door itself is in good condition.

Installing a new garage door opener runs from $250 to $500 at least. If your repair costs are close in cost to that range or if your garage door is 10 to 15 years old, you should probably replace it instead of repair.

However, it’s a better idea to fix your garage door opener if it’s less than eight years old or if repair costs are less than replacing.

Garage door openers usually last between 10 and 15 years. However, several factors contribute to how long your garage door opener can last. If you schedule regular inspections and practice proper care, you can maximize your garage door opener’s lifespan, saving money in the long run. As a general rule, practice the same care for your garage door opener as you would the door itself.

These tell-tale signs indicate your garage door is going bad, including:

  • Not closing or opening at all

  • The door reversing when you try to open and/or close it

  • Inconsistent opening and closing; more noise than usual (grinding, scraping, or banging)

  • Sticking or stalling when you try to open or close it

If you experience one or more of these signs, it’s time to call a professional garage door repair service.
