"We contracted with Ms. Lily and the MA Landscaping team to redo our back patio on Capitol Hill in DC. The original patio had a dilapidated fence, an uneven brick floor, and overgrown shed. The moment that Ms. Lily stepped into the space, she had a vision for safeguarding the historic nature of the patio while integrating a modern look. She was receptive to our ideas and offered her own, which allowed us to come to a great combined vision. She didn't try to oversell us or pressure us into taking dramatic, expensive changes that weren't important to us. Throughout the project, Ms. Lily was hands-on, responsive, and receptive. The work was completed in 2 weeks. Her workers were friendly and when unexpected developments arose, they quickly sought our input as well as hers. Our backyard was useless with standing water and a mud pit under our deck, but Troy installed a french drain system and buried several downspouts to divert the water away from the middle of the yard and installed some river rock with a border under the deck to make it an attractive area versus an eye sore. "Kurt (Distinct Landscapes) performed an exception makeover to our property. We have owned our home for 20 years, with an eye on a landscape design to the house front - that pops. What we inherited were azaleas and christmas trees that continued to grow more expansive over the years. Danny Sharpe, the owner, and his team arrived on-time, completed the work exactly as outlined, cleaned up after themselves and took care of both of our neighbors, too. They worked quickly and efficiently, completing in one hour what would've taken my husband and I the majority of a weekend to complete. For the quality we received, the price was more than fair.

When I called him to schedule, he was again responsive and gave me a firm date. He and his helper came as promised and did the work quickly and neatly. I discussed a few additions to my original plan, and Jose quickly took care of everything I needed. They cleaned up all the debris and did not even charge extra for additional requests.
