"We called John from Improvement Pros to restain our deck but realized that the wood was in worse shape than we thought so he ended up practically replacing the whole deck.  He was meticulous with his work and knew what he was doing.  He also replaced some rotten wood on my front door and since he was from North Carolina I figured he was familiar with that kind of problem.  Who would have thought that we would have so much rotten wood problems in Colorado since we live in such a dry area.
John was very professional and whatever changes we wanted or anything we didn't like was met with a "yes ma'am" every time. The weather caused the project to take longer than what I had anticipated but we are very happy with the finished deck and I think we got a very good price compared to what other neighbors were paying for their deck.
All in all, I would use Improvement Pros again.

"Greg Scheehean's work was awesome. He's everything the other 5 star reviews say and more. He built us an 1,100 sq ft dream deck with Trex Elevations. it is absolutely solid and beautiful. Greg built a separate exterior staircase too with pressure treated wood -- top notch work. We were so fortunate to find Greg through Home Advisor. He is super knowledgeable and experienced and skilled. Now we're lining up other improvements for Greg to work and our neighbors are too. Can't find a way to attach a couple photos of Greg's work for us -- too bad, the results are so beautiful."

No, cedar is not pressure-treated because it contains oils and tannins that naturally resist insect damage, rot, and decay. With regular maintenance, including annual cleaning and resealing every two to three years, cedar maintains its structural integrity and pleasing appearance for 10 to 15 years or more.
