Jeremy came out and spent hours with us explaining what areas of our home needed to be insulated. He had this great tool which be infrared light, could show the hot and cold areas of the walls. That, and living in such a hot house, were all we needed to decide to go ahead with Clear Efficiency. In the end, our house is now so much cooler. Insulating was the answer for us! "** This review is posted on behalf of my friend who recently used their service ** I can't say enough good things about Rich, Conrad, and his entire crew. First and foremost, these guys are 100% professionals. Do not overlook professionalism. I received other quotes from people who were either unwilling to do the full spectrum of work requested or not thorough in the initial review. We recently moved into a 1920s home that had old and brittle insulation laid around knob-and-tube wiring. So not only was the attic insulation ineffective, it also presented itself as a fire hazard. To make matters worse, there was a relatively inaccessible portion of the attic (i.e. access through a child-sized square cutout) they'd have to work their way into. At the very day/time of the appointment, Rich had already gotten to the house early (let in by our floor guy) and already ventured up into that tiny crawl space in the attic to assess the work. He made all of his notes and took photos before I even realized he was there. Keep in mind, insulators from other companies did not even bother to poke their heads into that space. When I mentioned what our ideal timeline was, Rich said that if they couldn't fit the work into our schedule, they would refer us to other companies they trust. Needless to say, I was impressed by his honesty. After receiving a quote via email from Conrad - who is on top of everything with phone and email communications and reminders - we decided that they were worth the three weeks wait. I signed the quote and we agreed on a start date. Conrad sent a reminder email a few days before the work was to start. The guys came on time and worked all day to remove the old crumbled insulation. By the end of the day, they were covered in black fiber/soot. They found all types of things around the attic that we weren't aware of - head boards, window screens, lumber, etc. They even removed most of the junk for us. A week later (after we brought in the electricians to update the wiring), they came back to lay the insulation batts, apply the batts to the walls where stated, air seal openings, and create a seal for the attic crawl space access cutout). They were able to complete the job over the course of a full day (9am to 7pm). They are professional, honest, thorough, responsive (emails were always returned timely and in that one week away, Rich returned my call to answer an insulation question), always on time, fairly priced (better, even), and skilled. And on top of everything else, the whole crew was fun to talk to. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would recommend them as your #1 choice for your insulation needs."

"I scheduled an air conditioner tune-up with Roy O. Cook and Sonny came out on the scheduled date and time. He did a thorough job of testing the compressor, cleaning the coils and measuring the air flow. I have a 4-ton unit and his meter showed my a/c unit was only performing at about 2.5 tons. After cleaning the coils and making adjustments, he was able to increase the efficiency to 3.7 tons. This is a significant improvement which equates to my a/c unit performing better when the hot weather eventually kicks in. Roseville Electric currently has a program that provides a $75 rebate towards a comprehensive tune-up. Sonny did an outstanding job and I'll definitely hire them again."

"They kept breaking the tiles on the roof they installed so they had to keep ordering new tiles to complete the job. The problem was they resorted to texting on occasion until they were asked to actually call us to resolve, which is not very professional. Our biggest concern is the solar installation. There were delays because they did not install the correct breaker. Now we found out that some of the panels are facing the wrong way and need to be re-positioned. We are unable to monitor the effectiveness of the system they put in even though they told us we would be able to. They're having trouble getting access to monitoring for us so they can see what is happening with our panels but we can't. They have continually asked for payment although they have not completed the job to our satisfaction. That was the same even when the roof wasn't completed they wanted payment. I would not recommend them to others. They were great at first but their responsiveness has been lacking and the work has continually gotten sloppier. Their demands for the payment have also become more frequent."

"The installation of the copper piping involved removing all galvanized piping and installing copper from beneath the house. Some walls needed to be cut into in order to replace the piping. All sheet rock was repaired and re-tiled where needed. The finish product was like new. There was 2 or 3 men working at all times, always doing their best to least interrupt our daily lives.We never saw the men take a break or waste any time. Very impressive.. Everyone was very punctual, on time when they said they would be. Dave Sargent, owner and his supervisor, Jessie, were always available with helpful advice and supervising the project.
