"Vidal and his team demo'd our existing backyard patio and then re-poured, leveling everything out and adding some beautiful steps. Their craftsmanship is evident and the team was very professional and easy to communicate with. We are very pleased with the end result!"

"I would recommend Menaci Drywall Design to anyone looking for home repair work. They were quick to reply and answer questions, get info on what work needed to be done and scheduled an appointment to come do work. From first contact to completion was done in 3 days due to it being over Thanksgiving, had it been a regular week I believe it would have been done even sooner. The friendly and professional service is much appreciated!"

"There was quite a mess as the leak had been going on for some time undetected. We had water damage people, water heater people and construction all trying to get their part of the job done. Jim from Christian Construction came in a assessed the damage, cost and timeline. He had his crew there immediately to get estimates on all the areas of damage. Once the water was dried out and new construction could start, they were there rebuild garage section first so new water heater could be installed. Everything was done quickly and efficiently so we would have less down time. From the beginning Christian Construction was on top of and honest about the "down time". Since the cabinets on the garage wall side of the kitchen were damaged, they were torn out and Jim had a custom cabinet maker come in and build new cabinets and they matched perfectly. We even added in pull out shelves. Care was taken when tearing out or replacing to avoid further damage. Floors and walls fully covered and when the cabinets had to be refurbished, every effort was taken to keep odors and dust at a minimum. Overall, the garage/kitchen connecting wall, water heater area, work bench area, were re-done on the garage side. On the inside we had a hall closet with damage and it was repaired and new carpeting put down. The kitchen wall inside was repaired and new cabinet put it, all cabinets were refurbished, new pantry pull outs and updated drawers were installed. They also put in a new granite counter as the old counter had to be torn out as collateral damage from the torn out kitchen cabinet and a new undermount sink. The kitchen was repainted and as a favor they replaced some kitchen lights. Having your kitchen torn out is never a pleasant time but the contractor stayed on the timeline promised and got us back to normal in a decent amount of time. The outcome is a beautiful new kitchen. Everyone we worked with from Christian Construction was friendly, professional and treated our home with respect. I know I drove Jim Christian crazy with my many phone calls but he took it all in stride, even when I called after hours. I would definitely recommend Christian Construction!"

"CHI has done an excellent job for me and I recommend them without hesitation for any remodeling work. Here's why: My job started out with an entry door replacement, evolved into a pantry expansion, and finally finished with an entire kitchen countertop replacement. I was very pleased with how they worked, the materials they used, and the attention to detail in the workmanship. And they were very responsive, communicated well and frequently, and checked in regularly to make sure the job was getting done right and on time. Each of their craftsmen were highly skilled, knew what they were doing, and didn't cut any corners. And each one was friendly and courteous to boot! I very much appreciated their attention to protecting the rest of the house, and they cleaned up the jobsite every single day at the end of their work day. Remodels are disruptive, no matter what. But this was about the least painful I've experienced. I have worked with a lot of contractors. CHI is a 10 out of 10."

"The construction went very well. With some discussion, we made sure we were all on the same page about the details of the new walks, which are simple concrete without any special additions or treatments. The crew brought a Bobcat-type skidder with jackhammer and loader attachments, as well as a dump truck. They had the old driveway removed and hauled off in less than an hour. Then they worked with us in laying out the shapes, elevations, and slopes of the new walkways and had the forms all set in another couple of hours, doing it by eye and following the slopes and heights of the yard. The concrete was poured in another hour or so and the entire job was finished by the end of the day. They removed the forms a couple days later. Their price was among the lowest we were quoted. The finished walks look very nice and are a pleasure to use. I gave them a B in Professionalism because the quote was lacking in any detail and they haven't yet provided an invoice, even though I've called once to remind them. For a small, simple job like this one, that might be OK, but for a large or complex one I'd want a clearer documentation and better accounting."

"This deal must be popular because it took them almost two weeks to contact us. Jason came out and checked out what we currently have and gave me numerous options to choose from. He also explained how the gas line would be brought into the fireplace and gave me a cost for that (which isn't part of the Big Deal). Jason suggested we go into their shop to pick out what glass, rocks or logs we wanted. We got to see them all in fireplaces with fire and without. We ended up picking a rock which we did not intend to do and we love it! We scheduled a day and time with Jason about 3 weeks out, and asked him if he could come sooner if someone cancelled. It worked! We got everything put in 8 days early. There was a crew of two guys who came promptly at 8 AM. They were clean and respectful of our home. They covered the floor with a drop cloth. They had everything removed, inserted and cleaned by 1 PM (2 hours ahead of schedule). We love it. We got a remote control and there is a variable speed fan. Very easy

FAQs for brick or stone siding: repair or partially replace projects in Sacramento, CA

Stone veneer isn’t a weekend DIY. Even lightweight faux panels are heavy and must be anchored, flashed, and sealed to keep water out. Missteps can lead to cracked stone, leaks, or injuries. A licensed siding contractor arrives with scaffolding, masonry tools, and the know-how to set each piece safely and neatly, giving you a long-lasting, professional finish.

Stone veneer durability is robust when expert installation and proper maintenance are employed. When installed with precision, regularly cleaned, and sealed as required, stone veneer maintains its integrity for 25 to 75 years. Inadequate installation, however, leads to water intrusion and structural issues that compromise its longevity. Consistent upkeep and adherence to quality installation standards ensure decades of reliable performance.

Covering the entire exterior of a home with stone veneer is feasible but comes with a significant cost increase. Full coverage escalates both material and labor expenses due to the additional square footage required. Many homeowners reduce costs by applying stone veneer selectively—such as around entries, foundations, or architectural accents—while still achieving an upscale appearance and enhancing overall curb appeal.

Installing stone veneer over brick or stucco is entirely possible when the underlying surface is stable and properly prepared. The substrate must be clean, dry, and free of any loose material to support a secure application. Additionally, any areas of flaking stucco or deteriorated mortar must be patched and allowed to cure fully before a professional applies the new veneer, ensuring lasting durability.

Stone veneer siding offers a substantial cost advantage compared to full-thickness natural stone. It costs 25% of the price of natural stone because it is manufactured from concrete and lightweight aggregates. This method delivers the genuine appearance of stone while featuring a thinner profile that simplifies shipping, accelerates installation, and consistently reduces material expenses.

For a 250 square foot exterior area, stone siding installation costs range from $9,800 to $18,000, while installing stone veneer costs between $5,000 and $6,000. This clear cost breakdown demonstrates the significant savings achieved with stone veneer, which uses a lighter construction method that minimizes both material and labor expenses. Homeowners benefit from these lower costs while still attaining the attractive look of natural stone.
