"My first estimate said I needed helical piers and near $20,000. I hired a structural engineer & he said no piers needed and spelled out in detail how to repair the problem. Jay from basement cracks & Leaks was the one I chose after a few estimates. They were on time, completed the work early, did not disturb my plants and cleaned up well. They did the repair exactly as the engineer stated it should be done. While I paid the bill one man went to the basement to fill the crack, but it was a real sloppy mess. I paid and signed off, so had no hold on them to fix the mess. That night Jay stopped by in his own truck on his time off, cleaned up the sloppy mess & neatly refilled the crack. Viewing the work, it looks good. They repaired a 53 ft section of my basement. The test will be in the Spring when it rains but I am confident the problem has been fixed.
