"Larkin Bagget was our salesman, consultant and jobsite supervisor. We found him to be a wonderful person to deal with. Mudbug Pavers exceeded our expectations. The price was fair and we have a beautiful area for entertaining. Where we had a muddy side yard before, its now a wide cement walkway with a retaining wall that matches our patio pavers and extension. we would recommend them to anyone, and will."

"The work that was done was done very well. However, there were patches that had not been filled with sod. About a 1/3 of the way along the side of the garage, it just stopped - nothing. After having a new patio put in, no sod was placed between the patio and fence. When we called to complain, they came out and covered those areas with pine straw. No attention to detail, very disappointed. The workmen were all very nice."

Lemi-Duit is a team of experienced and highly skilled tradesmen and artisans. Each member of the team contributes a unique expertise to the whole. While we are still small enough to be personal and give individual attention to our clients, we offer the advantages of a larger company as a result of the diversity of our team. \n\nWe feel that our old fashioned American dream of the small town contractor doing business with friends and neighbors sets us apart from the crowd. All of our work is overseen by our owner, Sam Gill, and is fully guaranteed to be to your satisfaction. We solicit your ideas, and strive to create a job plan that will deliver a finished product that will exceed your expectations, while staying within your established budget. Our mission is to develop ongoing relationships with our customers, and offer full spectrum maintenance services at an affordable, fair price, by working closely with homeowners to solve maintenance problems, and fulfill remodeling and renovation dreams in a climate of trust and confidence. We also try to convince our clients to go green whenever possible, as we want to eventually become a totally green company.\n\nTrust and quality are the most important factors in choosing a contractor. Once you’ve collected several bids, it’s time to start comparing them. When making your final decision, you’ll want to choose a contractor that not only provides the best bid in terms of money, but also one that you feel is right for the job. There are advantages to choosing the up and coming contractor who is building a reputation, gaining clients, and seeking referrals for potential clients. A newer contractor is often more conscientious and works harder in order to establish his reputation and develop a good client base. As contractors, we work hard to ensure that our bids are competitive, while at the same time being realistic when it comes to high quality materials and costs. There is a fine balance between a good bid and a bid that looks good on the surface, but does not cover the occasional unexpected expense that comes up during the job - and we take pride in achieving this balance.\n\nDependability is key to the success of any construction project, and our reputation is based upon dependable service, attention to detail, and the responsibility of a reasonable and practical timeline. Our owner is always available to discuss any concerns you may have and resolve any issues that may arise.\n\nLemi-Duit combines traditional values with modern methods to create an environment in which goals are accomplished in a timely and professional manner. Our motto is “From rooftop to ground and all around,” and no job is too small or large for our consideration. Depending upon the complexity of your needs, a written estimate can usually be delivered to you within 24-48 hours of our initial meeting. A follow up meeting to discuss the estimate and include anything that may have been overlooked at the first meeting can be scheduled at your convenience.\n\nWe are licensed and fully insured for your protection.

FAQs for gravel or loose fill paving install, spread or scrape projects in Saint Bernard, LA

To calculate how much pea gravel you need for your project, multiply the length, width, and depth of the area you want to cover to find the volume in cubic feet. Then, divide that number by 27 to convert it to cubic yards to determine the amount of pea gravel you need.

A yard of pea gravel weighs about 1.3 tons or 2,600 pounds. Keep in mind that wet gravel weighs more than dry, and different types of gravel can vary in weight. For example, due to its density, river rock weighs significantly more than crushed stone and pea gravel.

The ideal depth for pea gravel depends on the type and size of your project. You'll need at least two to three inches for walkways and patios and a minimum of six inches for driveways to support heavy vehicles and prevent shifting over time. Aim for a depth of three to four inches in decorative garden beds or drainage areas.

Pea gravel is attractive, versatile, and low-maintenance. It provides excellent drainage, making it ideal for pathways, driveways, and garden beds. On the downside, its sharp texture isn't ideal for bare feet, and it can be challenging to weed or remove once installed. It can also shift underfoot without proper edging, creating an uneven surface.

Alternative landscaping materials you can use instead of pea gravel include wood chips, decomposed granite, crushed stone, pebbles, quartz, mulch, sand, and river rock. These materials offer different aesthetics, performance, and costs, so it’s important to do your research to determine which one best fits your landscape design and budget.

Many homeowners choose pea gravel because it requires minimal upkeep compared to other landscaping materials. You'll need to rake it occasionally to redistribute the stones and maintain an even surface. Pros also recommend installing weed barrier fabric beneath the gravel to prevent unwanted growth, although some weeds may still appear over time.
