"After talking to our insurance company and determining the roof was in need of replacement, we called Allied Roofing and a salesman named Landon came out to look at and measure our roof. He was able to give us a fairly immediate quote and after talking about the benefits of architectural shingles over the rather antiquated 3 tab shingles we decided to spend a little more for the upgrade. We are VERY happy we upgraded to the architectural shingles. Because of the more modern look as well as longer shingle life I feel like we added a significant amount of value to our home. Plus, we were able to take advantage of the maximum energy tax credit. One little thing they did showed me the level of customer service they maintain. Rain had set them back a bit on completing the job so it was actually approaching dark when they nailed the last shingle. They stayed well after dark on a Friday evening and used flashlights to clean up even the smallest pieces of material they could find. The fact that I didn't have to do that on a Saturday morning was very much appreciated. I would highly recommend Allied Roofing. Great job guys (and gals)! :)"

"The roof installation was set to be on Tuesday or Wednesday. However, due to weather it was installed the following Friday. I was not here, but my neighbors told me how quick and efficient the roofers were. Any fallen items were cleaned up prior to their departure. My roof looks amazing."

"They did a very good job with the roof and the addition that came off the house and covered the deck. The only reason I gave them a B rating for quality instead of an A has to do with the finishing touches on the addition. All around the house the soffit fascia is covered in white sheet metal. When they finished the addition, which follows the roof line of the back of the house. They left it with bare, untreated wood. They don't use treated lumber because it reacts with the metal roofing and some corrosion may result. That's fine, but they should have at least covered it so that it tied in with the rest of the roof line. As we did our final inspection, I asked about the wood being treated and he explained why they don't use it. I said " so I guess I'll have to cover it?" He said that I would. I was leaving town on business in a couple days and had a lot going on, so I guess I just didn't think to put my foot down and insist they do it. Here in Mobile, Alabama we are the wettest city in the nation. We get more annual rainfall than Seattle, and it's humid. Wood rot happens.I went and bought some Thompson's Water Seal, and some sheet metal and took care of it myself. I have some pictures, but I don't see how to post them on this review page. The workers were very polite and cleaned up very well each day.

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."
