"Dave called ahead to let me know he was on the way, and arrived on time. He removed his shoes when coming into the house. A squirrel had entered our home though a hole it had made in the patching compound where the flue enters the chimney. Dave was prepared for a potential animal removal situation, and took every precaution to make sure we were not going to have an animal getting into our house. He check several places where the squirrel could have been hiding, but it appeared the critter had check out before he showed up. Dave cleaned some debris out out of the furnace flue, and even unclogged our condensation drip tube (don't know what to call it). I had to leave in the middle of the job, and he explained what he was going to do when I was gone. When I arrived back at the house he had completed the job within the time frame he had projected. He installed a stainless steel cap on our chimney, and patched the hole the squirrel had made. When I checked out the work in our basement I was impressed, and he even cleaned up the area where the squirrel had made a mess. The price was more than fair considering the professional work that was done. Dave was very thorough, friendly, and did an excellent job all around. Wow! These are the people you want to work on your chimney. We heard some noises a week later, and I called Dave back to see if he needed to come back out. He explained it was likely the squirrel trying to get back in, and the sound was echoing down the furnace flue. It appears that was the case. He offered to stop by, and check it out to make sure. I explained I was satisfied with that answer, and would just check on it once in a while. So far no other problems."

They didn’t just come look at the roof and send me a proposal instead they came looked at the roof and spent over an hour with me explaining the process working with me on how to improve the gutters so the flow would be better for my property. This did not mean more expensive gutters just a Different installation from previous. Once I contracted with them the project manger reached out to set up a start date. The team that came out to do the job was both professional and efficient. They did a great job. I would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a new roof. They also coordinated with the team doing some chimney repairs on my house which was extremely helpful to me."

"Roof was leaking water around chimney into our crawl space. Received 4 bids. All said roof had been improperly installed by previous owner. 3 roofing companies strongly recommended total roof replacement. Coates said roof would last 5 years and repair was only necessary. Out of concern that we did need a new roof we hired a home inspector, who concluded that the roof would last another 5 years and needed the repairs listed under "work performed". Satisfied we did not need a new roof we went with Coates who was the only one honest enough to say we only needed a repair. The reason for the B ratings is that Kevin told us he would fix our roof on a particular date a couple of times and did not make it. We would then call and ask when he was going to get to our roof. He explained he was having difficulty because he lost his best worker."
