Melanie was our point of contact with scheduling the appointment and any questions we had. On the day of appointment, they arrived on schedule and proceeded to change out our old water heater. We have had a problem with water in a section of our basement.  My husband repaired a few rod holes in the area and it seemed to be working after some light rain.  We thought that we had solved the problem until we had a very hard rain.  Water was pouring in and spreading across half of our basement.  Our basement is carpeted so we used the shop vac but it just kept coming as the rain continued.  I contacted Andrew and he came out on Sunday with his wife.  They took a look and determined that it was the rod holes.  My husband and I weren't aware that there were two rows of rod holes - one at the top and one at the bottom.  We have a finished basement so it was hard to tell where the water was coming from.  They had to cut through the drywall and patch all the rod holes that had moisture.  They worked for 7-1/2 hours and fixed 40 rod holes.  They also found a previous crack that had not been repaired properly.  They used high pressure injection to fix it and showed us how it filled the crack all the way to the top (we could see it come up outside).  They were predicting more rain but he assured us that they filled all the holes that might cause a problem.  We wanted to have all the rod holes filled so we never have to deal with this problem again.  We will need new drywall installed so we would rather be safe than sorry.  It did rain and there wasn't one drop of water.  We are so grateful that they came out and took care of the problem areas.  We set up another appointment to complete the job.  They repaired another 40 rod holes on the second visit.  They worked for approximately 5 hours this time.

They were very professional and knowledgeable and they took the time to explain everything that they were doing.  They worked nonstop for all those hours with only a few short breaks.  I would highly recommend them.  They are very nice people and they cleaned up after themselves.  We have two dogs that kept barking at them and they took the time to stop and talk to them and pet them.  They work very hard and do a great job!  I will definitely use them again if we ever have some other issue.  I feel confident that they have fixed all of our problems at this point.

"Bob came out and talked to me about what needed to happen. Didn't try to sell me on anything I didn't need and even gave some advice on how the sump pump should be adjusted. Bill and PJ came out to do the actual work. Nice guys and wasted no time getting started. Laid down sheets to protect the hardwood floor in the foyer as they came in and out. Bill went above and beyond fixing the rod holes and the sealed cracks look like they'll hold forever. The outside sump discharge line looks great and I now have a clean-out for any future maintenance. Not much in the way of rain lately so won't know if everything sealed until then, but 4-Ever gives a lifetime guarantee so I'm not too worried. What I did learn with this project is that I have an entire wall of rod holes that aren't leaking bad yet, but do show sign of water leakage and will need to be fixed. Once I get the energy, I will tear out all the drywall and not hesitate to call Bob again to have his guys come out and do the rest of the rod holes."

"I originally consulted Angie's List to find someone to replace two old and decrepit gate post lights at my home. I decided to go with Lombardo Restoration when I noticed the coupon to replace up to ten wall outlets for $349. My home was built in 1946 and has gone through numerous slap-dash facelifts which left many of the outlets painted over and virtually unusable, so I thought I'd take advantage of the offer. My first online contact with LR was very positive and reassuring, and when Len and his co-worker appeared at my home they both proved friendly, outgoing, and energetic. I quickly learned that these guys know their business and work hard to get a job done right. They went through the electrical work like a knife through butter. Nothing slowed them down. When I talked to Len about rebuilding the gate posts he stated that the job would be a little costly because it would be time consuming. But the cost he quoted me was far below what I expected, and I told him to go ahead. After they'd been at it for well over five hours I became a little concerned about cost, knowing what the hourly price for two workers could be, but when they were all finished after well over eight hours everything, including all the wall outlets, came to a mere $850.
Leonard's a big and friendly young guy who likes to talk, and I admit that upon first encountering him I thought he was primarily the salesman for LR. But I quickly learned that he knows his trades. Both he and his co-worker are highly skilled and motivated workers who are very familiar with older houses such as my own, presumably from years of experience working with homes in Detroit.
Leonard's business approach may be somewhat more informal than many other contractors, particularly those involved largely with insurance claims. There were no contracts to sign or itemized receipts. I'd tell him what I wanted, he'd give me a projected cost, and he'd make good on the estimated price. This is largely contrary to what homeowners are told they should do when dealing with contractors. But Lombardo Restoration has proven to me to be a skilled and trustworthy outfit. I'm willing to take Len at his word, because I believe that if he doesn't do the job completely to my satisfaction he'd take steps to fix it within a reasonable cost. I highly recommend this contractor.

"Had a new kitchen sink and piping installed, including the water line to the dishwasher, all of which were old and corroded. The owner/operator Lara was very quick to respond to my query sent via Angi's List and had an appointment sent in less than a week. For unforeseen reasons, the work ended up taking more than one day, but she was able to squeeze in the additional work time a couple of days later. The quality of the work is outstanding and I really appreciated the way she kept me apprised of the work as it unfolded, explaining all of the details of the work and any issues that arose that required additional cost. I like her and her assistance's work so much that I scheduled her to also repair a janky gas line in the basement that she noted when doing her initial inspection of the place. What I appreciate most is that I know she uses quality parts and does everything to code, and warranties her work. It helps me rest easier, given the poor workmanship and shoddy treatment I've gotten from other contractors."

"Went well to this point of replacing parts. Then the United needed to have a system leak test and then needed freon put in pump. This was refused by Choice warranty. We were left with a partial repair and a heat pump not able to do it's job."
