"Not only was Juan knowledgeable, friendly, patient and professional, his work was outstanding. He not only addressed every special request to fit our needs, but did so with exceptional quality and made sure I was included and happy with every facet of our installation. I would confidently recommend him to anyone needing help with a stair repair or remodel at a very fair price."

"Mr. Gill showed up to give a quote. I wanted a particular product he'd never used before. He got back with me quickly with a bid. After some additions to the job, we agreed on a price that was thousands below other bids I had received a few years earlier. Long story short, he went above and beyond in every aspect of the the job. He was punctual, detail oriented, answered all my concerns, communicated well through out the project and finished on time within budget. My father owned his own construction company for 30+ years and I know quality work. I have a list of projects I plan on getting bids on with Gill Installations. I will use this company again."

"All work was done in a timely, professional manner.  Shingles and majority of the work was done within two days with a few items finished a few weeks later-a skylight that had to be ordered, etc.
Everyone did a top notch job.  The roofers even went over the grounds two times picking up nails after the job was done, and did a very good job at that.  They were very pleasant folks.  We were glad to have them do the work.
After the ridge vents were installed, I noticed s savings in my electric bill, too.  We wee able to raise our thermostat by 3 degrees and still stayed cool in the last few hot days of summer.  Ridge vents are definitely the way to go.
Thank you, Tony and crew.  Keep up the good work.  I highly recommend Tony's Roofing Service.
The office staff even helped me get my warranty registered with the Certainteed company after the work had been completed.

FAQs for wood stairs and railings installation and replacement projects in San Felipe, TX

A pro can set an attic ladder in two to four hours, including framing adjustments and finish work. Complex installs—like cutting a brand-new opening or trimming joists—land toward the high end of that window. Tackle the job yourself and plan on a full day, plus an extra pair of hands, since one mis-measurement can slow everything down.

Local building codes drive this decision. If your ceiling has a fire-rating requirement, the ladder must match it to maintain that protective barrier. A rated unit slows flame spread between the attic and living space, buying valuable evacuation time and limiting damage.

Because codes vary by city and even by neighborhood, check with the permitting office or ask your contractor before you order the ladder.

Aluminum ladders are light, rust-proof, and easy to maneuver, making them a practical choice for most households. Wood models handle higher weight loads and can match traditional trim if aesthetics top your list, but they’re heavier and need occasional upkeep.

Compare the ladder’s duty rating, your ceiling height, and how often you’ll use it. The best option is the one that balances safety, convenience, and the look you want without stretching the budget.
