"We recently moved to Petaluma and wanted new flooring in our new home. We found Sunshine Flooring in San Rafael. Owner Dave Gilbert was happy to work with us In spite of the distance his crew needed to travel. We count ourselves lucky that he agreed to take on this job. He clearly laid out options (hardwood, engineered hardwood, vinyl plank, carpet), provided suggestions, but left the decisions up to us. (We chose engineered hardwood downstairs and vinyl plank upstairs.) He made an effort to get the materials as soon as possible, since we had a deadline to vacate our temporary quarters. His workers were on time, friendly, efficient, and good at their crafts. We love the end product and highly recommend this company. It had been a long and hard road for us to find our house, and Dave and crew were really a ray of sunshine."

"The salesperson promised all would go well, he had checked our doors and no doors would have to be shaved for the flooring to fit (now some doors cannot be opened because they need to be shaved) said the flooring would be glued to the floor (it was not), said they would move up to 8 pieces of furniture per room so we did not have to move anything (we had to rush in over the holiday and move all of the stuff out of the way), promised an extra 10% off the cost of the bill as a special (we were declined that also), and also said installation would start on Wednesday November 24th at 8 am. No one showed up at that time, and when they did they brought the wrong color of flooring so they could not start. They had to rush through the job on Saturday and Sunday because we opened again on Monday, and installed flooring over an existing drain that we need uncovered (it still has not been fixed even though we have contacted them several times over the past two weeks). Two doors still do not open easily because the doors were not shaved. And, the foreman Ryan did not have the people return when he said he would to fix these issues last Saturday before 1 pm. Now our calls arent being returned anymore. But, they made sure to call us right away to try and get paid for the balance of the job, and even that person never wrote back when we voiced our concerns. Bottom line, the sales person Jeff promised the world and did not deliver it, the foreman has not gotten back to us, and we need a drain uncovered as we are a hospital and need all drains to be open for a reason. So, we like the flooring, but the lack of communication, lack of organization/planning, unfulfilled promises, and general inaccurate information cause us to not really want to recommend them, unfortunately."

"

Good - the carpet is great and they did a fantastic job on the installation. It looks wonderful.

The only annoying thing is that they charge extra for everything, including $100 a room to move and replace your furniture. That seemed like a lot. We are seniors and can't move it ourselves, and $100 for both rooms would have seemed more reasonable. But the installers were excellent - they did everything right and cleaned up after themselves nicely.

"Services were great! Super quick removal of old hardwood floor and install of new tile in a small half bathroom. Clean job, will hire again!"

"Emilio and Tomas are fine craftsmen. They installed flooring in closets too. No sloppy cuts or "good enough". Also, their responsiveness was top-notch and their rice very good."

"We chose Number One because of their reviews and because they had the best price and we are glad we did!  We had them remove old laminate floors in our Master Bedroom and Guest Bedroom and install Tigerwood pre-finished engineered floors. One room was nailed and one room floated and both are perfect. The workers were punctual, professional, courteous and, best of all, they cleaned up after the job was done.  We would definitely use them again.
We also want to give kudos to the saleman.  Not only was he helpful and very responsive, but he took the time to get us actual samples prior to the job starting so we could match some other woodwork we were having done to the floor.
Number One is definitely #1 with us.

"We refinished the floors across 7 rooms and installed new floors in the kitchen and it looks fantastic! Bravo was organized, timely and delivered on great floors. They have done my own house, my sisters and now my moms!"

"I had the pleasure of working with Elvin on several commercial electrical projects. The combination of his knowledge and creative thinking gave me exactly what I was looking for: an affordable, sleek solution. Elvin’s vision and creative thinking made his bid outshine all the others: he fixed my issues to code and gave me a much better price than his competitors because he saw a way to fix the issue when others did not. His work is also impeccable, which gives me confidence in all his finishing work. Elvin is also an incredibly reliable and effective communicator: he makes himself available and always maintains an even temperament. I look forward to working with him on other projects—not just electrical but also general construction."
