"I hired Shane for a roof replacement on a duplex in the west side of Springfield. He was professional and courteous with excellent communication skills. He kept me informed about the job every step of the way with photo and video documentation. He worked with me when issues arose. He was quick to respond after the job was over with my questions and to check for damage after the storm. His prices were the best too. As a property investor I have worked with many contractors and Shane stands out as one of the best I have ever worked with"

"Found Sentri on Angi. Jeanette and Violet were very pleasant and efficient in getting a contractor to me in the time frame needed. The contractor was excellent and the roof looks great! I would definitely work with them again if I had additional projects."

"Roof looks great! When I was looking for roofing companies in Bloomington, IL in the beginning and trying to get estimates it wasn't something I was excited about. I met with a few different roofing contractors and when I met Mark, I felt comfortable with having him and his team do the job. He offered great ideas and helped us decide on the new shingle color and style, and was always available to answer questions. His team was polite and of course really skilled, you could tell that they could do this stuff with their eyes closed haha. Our roof was I thought a big challenge because it was so steep and very unique but these guys weren't afraid of anything! Highly recommended and would definitely do business with again. Don't waste your time getting tons of estimates, just call Mark and his team - you won't regret it AND you'll save tons of time."

"For roofing, one, he was very quick to response when I sent him an email one evening, contacting him and asking for a follow-up call. He was very professional. They did really an awesome job. He did extra work. I did compare with a couple of people.  He was unbelievably more reasonable one when it comes to price."

"New installation went well. I was a little upset that only 50% was covered being that the unit was 19 years old. I'm sure that parts for something that old would be hard to find. Replacement was recommended."

FAQs for metal roofing installation and replacement projects in San-jose, IL

Copper roofs can last 100 years or more, so you’re likely never to need another replacement. Regular maintenance, including annual inspections and occasional cleaning, keeps them in top shape. Work with a licensed roofer for any repairs or inspections to be sure the roof stays watertight and performs as expected.

Cleaning a copper roof averages $460, sealing costs an average of $3 per square foot, and broader repairs cost an average of $6,500.While those figures may seem steep compared to simple maintenance, they’re still far less than the cost of a complete replacement. Staying on top of annual cleanings and quick fixes helps keep costs down and allows the roof to reach its 100-year lifespan.

That green hue is a natural patina that forms as copper reacts with air and moisture. In coastal areas, it can appear in five to seven years; in dry regions, it may take up to 14. The patina shields the copper, so letting it develop is perfectly fine. If you prefer the shiny look, you can have a pro apply a clear sealant and recoat it as needed.

You can paint a copper roof, but it will block the natural patina and may shorten the roof’s lifespan. Once paint goes on, future upkeep becomes more involved—you’ll need to scrape and repaint every few years. Most homeowners skip painting and opt for cleaning or a clear sealant to keep the copper looking its best.

Copper holds up well in nearly every climate. In a humid region, it naturally resists fungus, moss, and algae. In snowy or windy areas, it sheds precipitation and stays firmly in place, as long as it’s installed with room to expand and contract. That flexibility helps the roof stay leak-free through temperature swings and harsh weather year after year.
