"I had an excellent experience with Kevin Cervantes at Real Handy Handyman. I made an inquiry through Angie's list for a handyman who could either repair or replace my sliding screen door leading to my patio. Kevin called me right away. He said that he would like to look at the screen door first to see if he could repair it to save me money. Kevin came over on the scheduled date right on time. He looked at the screen and made some calls to see if he could find parts for it but ultimately decided it would be better to replace the screen door, which was also my preference. David arranged for a screen company to come out and measure and install a new screen door. He did not even charge me for his time and labor even though I offered to pay him. Kevin is thoughtful and meticulous. I know that I can trust him to do quality work whenever I need anything done."

"I highly recommend Josh Matus from SC Home Repair. We needed to have a ceiling replaced in a closet after it was damaged by water. The plumber who originally fixed the leak cut out the ceiling to fix the leak, but was not able to reinstall it. We hired Josh to replace the ceiling. He did an excellent job. He was punctual and polite, and kept me looped in on the entire project. He got my sign-off on all of his decisions and ran pricing by me when he needed to buy supplies. He knew exactly what he was doing. Josh finished the job quickly in two days and did excellent work while paying attention to detail. I would certainly hire him again!"

He was a patient listener, asked relevant questions in a non-condescending manner to get a clear picture of our needs, and he informed me of his schedule and availability. He first came to review each task, took notes and shortly thereafter emailed an itemized quote. Most importantly, he showed up on time and ready to work, we were at ease having him in our home and the quality of his work exceeded our expectations. It also bears mentioning that we'd received estimates for the same tasks from other handymen who inflated the complexity and cost of the job and/or overestimated their expertise (with carpentry and basic electrical work.) Rich fixed things that only needed a slight adjustment that others told us needed time-consuming repair or expensive replacement.
