"They came back to touch things up and did a nice job as always, but the cracking in the boards is irreversible. It could have been avoided by doing several coats initially or using a superior product which I requested several times but was told that this was the best product and one coat was sufficient...and it obviously was not. While I really like the workers and feel they do an excellent job, I expected them as the experts to coat and adequately protect my deck and it took several weeks for them to respond to my concerns and then make it back to do the pretreatment. I did not expect to sand and stain my deck twice within only 6 months of each other."

"Adan Roman kept in touch from the time I first contacted him to make an appointment until he arrived to do the work. He had excellent knowledge of the type of project I hired him to do and he shared suggestions as we discussed and made a decision how to go forward on the project. He worked quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend Adan and would hire him again."

"Can't speak highly enough of Fedor and his team. They replaced the electrical box a year ago and have helped me with a few plumbing projects since then. They came for a free quote and always proposed multiple solutions, explaining every detail, answering all my questions, and tailoring their advice so I could make an informed decision. They are honest, industrious, and professional to work with. One day, a shower pipe started leaking, they came the next day and fixed it in a few hours. I was so relieved and grateful. Top notch service!"

"I hired him for my bathroom and kitchen remodel. He walked us through the whole project and explained different options we could choose from. He paid attention to every detail throughout the project and the outcome was exactly what we were expecting."

"Great. My only 'complaint' is that Dave is in demand, so I've had to set up appointments a month or more in advance. This guy does good work, gives good advice and goes the extra mile."

"Owner called and discussed job with him. He asked ME to call him back in a couple days (vs taking my number)- shouldve taken this as a bad sign. I called back, left message, he called again- needed to be reminded of my job, name, address. I figured maybe he was having a bad week because the ratings on Angies list were good. So......I discussed job with him AGAIN and at this point (days after initial contact and job already discussed) and after I told the other companies I contacted that I had someone, he said it was a small job and probably not worth it to them, but he could maybe "squeeze me in/ attach to a different job". At this point  <br /> Part of the work described was completed but then before finishing in the  backyard,  they moved to the front.  The man in charge of the crew seemed really nice and seemed to understand what I was asking. I assumed they had down what was asked, in detail, in the back so said they could trim down some sunflowers in the front. Unfortunately, the workers cut down things they werent supposed to in the front yard. Some beautiful flowers were chopped down to stumps, 5 foot tall ornamental grasses that last and look great through Novemner were hacked. Meanwhile, plenty of weeds left in backyard.  <br /> I realize, as I garden, that it is WAY easier to hack things off and gather them then to weed but was REALLY disappointed that they didnt finish the weeding or bush/tree trim in backyard and destroyed the look of my front yard.  <br /> I contacted the owner and nicely expressed my disappointment that things were not finished in back and moreso that my beautiful flowers and ornamental grasses were destroyed. I asked that we move forward, try to make things right. I figured he would offer to have the grasses  replaced or something offered to make things right so that I would be happy and use them again (which I wouldve if he had responded professionally to the feedback).  Instead of apologizing, however, and either offering to pay for the grasses or offering some additional free time, the owner offered nothing and responded with attitude.  <br />"

"They are just finishing up, but I can tell you that it is a nice, high quality shed. The bid came in about 20 percent under what anybody else did. The wait time was a little long; they were six weeks out on it. I really needed it before then, but they gave me a date of December 1. They showed up on December 1, put it up and are finishing up with the painting on it. It looks great and it is a good, high quality shed. They had trouble with their GPS and I had to guide them in, but they followed me in and did just fine."

FAQs for shed, barn or playhouse repair projects in Sandy, UT

You’ll know it’s time for a new shed roof if shingles curl or buckle, soft spots sag, or water stains appear inside. Moss or other plant growth on the surface is another red flag that moisture has breached the roofing layers. Replacing the roof quickly stops leaks from spreading, protects stored items, and saves you from costlier structural repairs down the road.

Choosing between a flat and a sloped shed roof comes down to climate, budget, and upkeep. A flat roof is cheaper up front, but still needs a slight pitch for drainage. A sloped roof sheds rain and snow more easily, lasts longer, and often needs less maintenance. Weigh your local weather patterns, the look you want, and how much time you’re willing to spend on upkeep before deciding.

A shed roof’s life span hinges on the material you choose and how well you maintain it. Most standard products last 15 to 30 years, while premium picks like slate or clay tile can protect the structure for 50 to 100 years. Regular inspections, fast fixes, and routine cleaning all help you reach the upper end of those ranges and keep your tools and gear dry year-round.
