"Info 592properties/ Warren did a remarkable job. Actually this is the second shower replacement he's done for me. I was so pleased with the first shower installation, I had to call him for the second. I couldn't ask for a better person to do this job for me. He was very focused on the job, firm and precise at what he does. Price was reasonable. I would recommend Warren, for any job in a blink of an eye. Finished the job in a day. Very Happy ð"

"Triangle Classic Homes <br /> Owner - Ralph Rohn <br />   <br /> Overview: <br /> Quality: 5 stars <br /> Timeliness of completion of work for my house: <br /> ·         <br /> July 2015 - 2 days for painting an entire house <br /> with a crew of 6-7. Crew leader: Jesus <br /> ·         <br /> December 2010 - 1.5 days for roofing an entire <br /> 2500 square foot 1.5 story house. Crew leader: Rudy <br /> ·         <br /> January 2011 - 3 days for new sheetrock and <br /> painting living room wall that suffered mold buildup from previous leaking <br /> roof. Note: spackling needs time to dry overnight properly before painting. <br /> Crew leader: another Jesus <br /> ·         <br /> May 2014 - 1 week for gutters due to unexpected <br /> complications> Crew leader: Noberto <br /> In general Ralph?s  subcontracted <br /> crews work extremely fast, methodically, professionally, and clean up well. <br />   <br /> Ralphs demeanor: <br /> Likes to kid around with the home owner with the intent with of establishing a <br /> long term friendship. If you are the type who easily gets offended with someone <br /> who is not politically correct and has a dry sense of humor you may not like Ralph. <br /> I like Ralph. Demeanor of Ralph?s subcontractor crew leaders: cheerful and <br /> eager to do good work. <br />   <br /> Ralph?s Philosophy: <br /> Customer does not pay anything until the job is complete and customer is <br /> completely satisfied. Generally prefers a verbal contract and what is written is <br /> not highly detailed. With most contractors before Ralph I found it necessary <br /> for a detailed contract because of their dishonesty. With Ralph I found it is <br /> only necessary to be basically clear what I want. He has the experience and <br /> character  to get it done correctly. It <br /> you do find something that one of his crews did not do correctly then simply <br /> and nicely call it to his attention without panicking and he will gladly make <br /> sure it is corrected to your satisfaction  <br /> in a timely manner (no long drawn out delays). <br />   <br /> The only time I panicked was during the gutter install when <br /> two of Noberto?s crew during his absence did not seal the end-caps properly and <br /> align the downspouts properly. When I showed Noberto the evidence he cheerfully <br /> corrected the issues himself. I?ve come to realize I don?t have to babysit any <br /> of Ralph?s crews like I have had to do with other contractors when Ralph was <br /> booked up solid with other customers. <br />   <br /> With Ralph?s crews for the most part - watch and be amazed <br /> with delight. <br />   <br /> The only negative: <br /> Ralph is partial to Plygem windows because Plygem gives contractors the least <br /> amount of grief and better discounts. My experience with Plygem, even their <br /> high end windows, is of poor quality in protection from the elements. Note: <br /> they were installed by a previous contractor. When I ordered replacement casement <br /> sashes I had to return the first set due to poor packaging and scarring. On the <br /> replacement set a year after install, the flaps that protect from the rain began <br /> to tear off easily when opening the window. Note: Plygem took over M&W <br /> Windows. <br /> Note: even a good quality window will not last long if <br /> poorly installed whereas a poorer quality window will last longer if installed <br /> properly and homeowner follows manufacturer?s instructions for proper <br /> maintenance. <br />   <br /> Advice: When it <br /> comes to windows and siding it is best to budget/ set aside in advance at least <br /> $35K for a 2600 square foot house. Reason is the manufacturers of siding change <br /> their thickness on a regular basis and window manufacturers also do not <br /> maintain backwards compatibility when it comes to dimensions. Twenty year old windows <br /> and siding cannot be replaced piecemeal which my wife and I have learned the <br /> frequently frustrating and expensive way over the last 20 years. <br />   <br /> My recommendations for: <br /> ·         <br /> Siding - LP Smartside <br /> ·         <br /> Windows - Marvin <br />   <br /> Be careful even with installers who have been certified in <br /> installing certain product lines. Certification <br /> does not necessarily mean they will actually execute a proper install. My <br /> regret is that Ralph was tied up back to back with large contracts when we <br /> realized we needed a major overhaul done at once. The contractor who was <br /> certified and who had a five star rating on  <br /> Home Advisor who installed the LP Smartside and Marvins was a nightmare. <br /> After three  months of nightmares, we <br /> checked the website for his ratings and they were no longer on the website. We <br /> had to force them to get the work done properly after showing them over 500 <br /> photos and documenting thoroughly things poorly done and destroyed. They backed <br /> out of painting our house when they realized to total cost of repairs would <br /> exceed $30K in which case a building permit is needed in Raleigh, NC. <br />   <br /> Fortunately Ralph?s painting contractor Jesus made up for <br /> our previous trauma and our house looks beautiful again. <br />   <br /> Ralph of Triangle Classic Homes is my go to contractor when <br /> he is not tied up with other major contracts. <br />   <br /> If you need piecemeal work done then it is likely you will <br /> need to hunt for a handyman who has good recommendations from people you have <br /> met face to face and not ratings on some website. <br />   <br /> A ratings website is a good start to narrow down your <br /> choices but ideally should be followed up with your own personal contacts face <br /> to face, phone calls, emails, etc with people whose judgment you already trust. <br /> Review is copy/pasted from Ms Word 2007 document. <br />"

FAQs for shower installation and replacement projects in Sanford, NC

Replacing your tub with a shower can modernize your bathroom and improve accessibility, often providing a high return on investment. However, if it's the only bathtub in your home, removing it may decrease resale value, as many buyers look for at least one bathtub. Consider your long-term plans and consult a real estate professional if resale value is a concern.

While showers cost slightly more to install than tubs, the overall expense depends on various factors such as materials, size, and features. A tub installation costs $2,400 to $8,800 on average, whereas showers average $2,000 to $9,400. Custom designs, luxury fixtures, or extensive plumbing work can increase costs for both options. It's important to assess your specific needs and budget when deciding between installing a shower or a tub.

Converting a tub to a shower generally takes between one and three days. The timeline depends on the complexity of the project, materials chosen, and whether plumbing modifications are necessary. Installing a standard prefabricated shower can be completed quickly, while custom tile work or extensive plumbing changes may extend the project's duration. Planning accordingly can help minimize disruptions during the conversion.

Converting a tub to a shower offers several benefits, including saving space and making your bathroom feel more open and modern. Showers improve accessibility, especially for those with mobility challenges, by eliminating the need to step over a high tub wall. Additionally, updating to a stylish shower can enhance your bathroom's aesthetic appeal and may increase your home's resale value if another tub is available elsewhere in the house.

Choosing between a shower stall and a custom shower depends on your budget and preferences. Prefabricated stalls are less expensive and faster to install but offer limited styles. Custom showers allow personalization of size, materials, and features but cost more and require professional installation. Evaluate your needs and budget to select the best option for your space.

If you’re converting a tub to a shower, you may want to consider remodeling your whole bathroom. The ROI on bathroom remodels is high (over 70%), so you can enjoy an upgraded bathroom while you live in your home and get your money back if you decide to sell later. The average cost to remodel a bathroom is around $6,600 to $16,600, so factor in this price range when you’re budgeting for your project.

Converting a tub to a shower alone isn't easy to DIY, so look for a bathroom remodeler near you if you decide to take on a larger bathroom remodel to ensure it's done correctly.
