"Thanks to the Mold Guys our HVAC nightmare has become sweet dreams. For many justifiable reasons we hadn't trusted the installation of our very expensive Carrier Infinity HVAC system last year in 2018. One installer spent five very long days doing the job on his own. What happened to the promised team getting it done so much quicker? Keeping our eyes on him when we could we knew he had sent at least two other techs away because they suggested doing something in a different way than he was doing it. After the two free maintenance's we went with another company. During the very first maintenance our new companyâ  s tech spotted that the evaporator coil had been installed upside down and that the entire air handler was saturated with water. He didn't want to touch anything so we had to get the installing company out here to set it right. Six hours later on a very hot humid July night the coil was as it should have been all along. But now we had a new and valid concern. THE NIGHTMARE OF MOLD?! Through HomeAdvisor I was referred to "The Mold Guys" and I am so glad I was. Within 20 minutes of my phone call Jim was here. Given the choices of mold testing versus a visual inspection I opted for Jim to do a visual on my air handler. He showed me pictures as he took them and it made me sick to see our year-old air handler in such a watery mess with rust and black growth. I had been noticing that my breathing issues in the middle of the night were worsening and I hadnâ  t been sleeping well in general for far too long. Our house is 15 years old and during the ten years we've lived here I had asked tech after tech if we should have our duct work cleaned since I know I'm allergic to dust. I've also noticed that our home had been getting dustier quicker with each passing year. But every tech blew it off. At this point in time we didnâ  t question having the duct work cleaned of all dust and possible mold. We were pleasantly surprised at the price Jim gave for the work involved that both he and Pete would do. Hard to say long story short at this point but in the end The Mold Guys have basically given us a new and healthier home environment. The house just feels â  lighterâ  , lighter air, smells wonderful and my allergies are greatly diminished. Even my husband notices the difference and heâ  s usually immune to such changes in his environment. Weâ  re both sleeping deeper and longer without waking. And each night we each have many gentle and kind dreams; in living color no less. When I wake up now, which is far less times during the night, I can breathe! Breathing is very good and so are nightmares that turn into sweet dreams. Looking into the future with that air handler I asked Jim if we could have it checked and cleaned on a regular basis and what the cost would be. Jim said once a year would do it and his price is far, far less than an HVAC maintenance and even less an HVAC service call. A small price to pay to have the peace of mind of sleeping, dreaming and breathing well in a healthy home. Jim and Pete are two professional, very nice, honest, hardworking guys who respected our home during the disruption of duct work cleaning and who respect us as customers. We highly recommend The Mold Guys."

"They weren't forthcoming about additional testing. Base inspection $299 then additional $400+ for lab testing. Wish I had known for vendor comparison purposes. However, I think it was worth it. Owner said the techs need to be instructed to say it was optional, but it helps you better understand the mold your dealing with. Glad I did it but not sure if it could have been done for less."
