"We recently had central air installed and needed to get rid of the former through the wall air conditioning units. When we first contacted Tom, he said he was booked through October, but he would come out and give us a quote. We made the appointment for the quote and he came as promised, looked at the work to be done and said he'd be able to do everything from AC removal to patching and final paint. He worked up a quote and e-mailed it to us within 24 hours. As we were not expecting the work to be done until mid-October, it was a pleasant surprise to hear from him in late September asking if it was a good time to start the job. He was very prompt and showed up when he said he would. He was also very meticulous about his work, cleaning up the work areas each day and hauled away the old AC units for us. The work was completed over the course of a week as he applied several layers of spackle which needed to dry fully before further application or paint. The walls look fantastic and you would't know that we used to have AC units as his work was seamless. We also had a small drywall repair job that we added when Tom arrived and he took care of it for us without additional charge. We plan to hire him again for future projects in our house and will recommend him to others."

"I called early am and owner called me back within 30 minutes. Within one hour I had one of his employees Daryell showed up very professional and began to assess what caused the humming. During the process he was able to find a safety wiring issue that he and owner recommended I take care off . They were very thorough and were able to repair my problem s. "As usual, Alan showed up as scheduled and did a thorough walk-around to detail the work that needed to be done. Candi had the contract done the next morning and the carpenters showed up two days later as promised. Bucky and Max worked a full day and did a great job. They not only fixed the superficial rotted wood, but went down to the support structure and made repairs. They used good quality materials and were very happy to explain to me how they were making the repairs. The porches are on a Victorian Style house and they were able to make the repairs while maintaining the decorative style. Bucky's skill and workmanship really came through on the work done on the front porch. Max really did a great job replacing the shakes and fascia boards on the back porch. He also did a nice job replacing the outside door to the basement. This was a professional and quality job through and through."

I reached out to Harold based on his listing on Angie's List before I bought my home--free of charge, he took a look at the roof on a property I was considering buying--giving me an estimate and advice. His help led me to find that the sellers were dishonest about the condition of and work done on their roof, and I purchased a different property in Hudson, NY. My home is a 1927 Craftsman that needed quite a bit of work. I hired Harold based on his honesty and responsiveness in helping me evaluate the first property. True to form, his estimate and ultimate cost to repaint the entire interior, repair and sheetrock floors and ceilings, refinish and replace hardwood floors, completely remodel a bathroom, rewire and install light fixtures, match original woodworking, install cabinetry, windows, and appliances, and even assist with installing new furniture, were more than reasonable. Better yet, the quality of his work was of the highest caliber. He has restored and improved a lovely home, and I am so thankful! I have to say that most of all, I am so happy with Harold's professionalism and diligence. Not every contractor is known for staying on the job and completing it on time. Especially in my situation, where I am a single woman trying to restore a second home when I live out of state--I assumed I would have difficulty in getting any contractor to be present and complete the job on time. However, this was never a problem. Harold was always there, was immediately responsive, and never slacked off when I wasn't there. "John did a great job on numerous jobs around the house.  Our schedule was tight, as we're expecting a baby and my wife wanted things done before her shower.  John was able to work with our schedule needs perfectly - he got the A/C installed to keep her cool, the doors fixed so our pets can't barge into the nursery, and the nursery painted before the carpet installers and furniture delivery guys arrived.  He was also knowledgeable enough to recommend suitable paint for the nursery.  I'm very happy with all the work done, and plan to call him again in the future for other repairs or painting around the house.
