"The absolute worst! These guys "opened" my pool. PJ, the owner and an employee were on site. I had to spend two hours helping them because they couldn't figure out how to attach the railings and diving board. They didn't vacuum! They didn't even attempt to balance the chemistry. They didn't turn on the heater, unless you count pressing the on button. It was not working, and needed repairs which I wound up doing myself, they didn't bother to check it, at all. Worst of all, they failed to tighten the bolts on the diving board, and as a result one of my kid's friends got injured when the board went sideways. Stay away. Literally, anyone else is a better choice."

"I had Biango Construction complete a full gut renovation of my main floor powder room and laundry room/mudroom. This included a major change in layouts and moving walls, doors, HVAC, plumbing, gas lines, and electrical. I also had custom cabinets and hall tree built for the space. The final result is exceptional (see photos). While the time ended up taking longer than originally expected, it was worth it to have a trusted pro do the work and to deal with the permit process. The company was easy to work with, professional, and maintained a clean workspace across my house. All individuals working on my house with Nick Biango paid high attention to detail throughout the entire process. "We engaged Tom Burrell of TD Burrel D&S for a deck renovation project that involved updating an aging wooden deck with TimberTech composite decking. From the outset, Tom demonstrated exceptional craftsmanship, creative spirit, and a deep understanding of the materials. We selected Tom due to his expertise and experience with TimberTech, his competitive pricing, and his flexibility with the project scope. We received quotes from three other deck companies, all of which were more expensive and less accommodating. Tom was thorough, detailed, flexible, patient, and kind. We recommend Tom and his work, however, a few considerations to keep in mind: 1. Our project was planned for 2023 but was ultimately delayed into 2024 due to unforeseen financial circumstances and impacts from other projects. Though unplanned and unfortunate, Tom maintained consistent communication with us throughout this period. 2. Tom operates mostly as a one-man team. While this is reflected in his lower overhead costs, it also means that the project pace will likely be slower compared to companies with larger teams. Our project was initially scheduled for a few weeks but ultimately took several months to complete due to necessary structural corrections, additions to the work order, intermittent issues with equipment and weather. 3. We recommend proactively asking about potential incremental costs for any changes in scope and stipulating that any updates be discussed and agreed upon in writing before implementation. For our specific project, corrections were necessary to the existing deck structure and additional items were discussed and added to the work. This resulted in the final project cost exceeding our initial budget expectation. While these changes were required and requested, discussions regarding the additional costs occurred late in the project. Keeping all parties aligned on scope and cost will help avoid any surprises and make finalizing the project easier. Despite these considerations, Tom is committed, easy to work with, and delivered a beautiful deck that our family will enjoy for many years to come."

"Warning: Avoid FMP Builders Inc (Mikhail Fomin) of Schaumburg, IL at All Costs Hiring FMP Builders Inc, run by Mikhail Fomin, was the worst decision we ever made for our home. This contractor is an unprofessional, dishonest, and utterly incompetent individual who left our bathroom remodel in ruins, cost us thousands, and displayed deeply unsettling behavior. We contracted FMP Builders for a bathroom renovation, entrusting Mikhail with the project. From the start, he was a nightmare. He took over $3,000 upfront, only to vanish after two brief visits. The first visit was solely to collect our money, and the second was marked by inappropriate, creepy comments directed at my wife, making her feel unsafe in our own home. His conduct was unprofessional and downright disturbing. The work he did manage to start was catastrophic. He demolished parts of the bathroom, leaving it in a state of disarray with exposed fixtures, damaged walls, and debris everywhere. The little work done was shoddy and dangerous, requiring extensive repairs. It cost us nearly $5,000 to fix the disaster, including $2,000 just to undo the damage he caused. This doesn’t even account for the emotional toll of dealing with his endless lies and excuses. Mikhail’s excuses were as absurd as they were insulting. He claimed multiple times to have contracted COVID, and, unbelievably, stated that his grandmother had died-more than once! These transparent fabrications were clearly meant to dodge accountability and prolong his scam. He showed zero commitment to completing the job and no remorse for the chaos he left behind. FMP Builders Inc and Mikhail Fomin are a menace to homeowners. He is a liar, a creep, and a fraud who takes money, destroys property, and disappears. Save yourself the financial loss, stress, and potential safety risks, avoid this contractor at all costs! If you’re considering hiring him, run the other way and hire a reputable professional instead."
