"It went fantastic. When we purchased our home the previous owner said they did not know if the central vacuum worked and they not longer had the hose or vacuum to test with. Shawn came out tested and cleaned the unit. He confirmed each port had good suction. Last he demonstrated several models of tool kits for us. I can't say enough how happy I am with Shawn and his great customer service and having working central vacuum."

"I can’t say enough about the experience WA Duct Cleaners-David was incredibly helpful well before her even came out. He explained in detail our options - said he would take pictures of the vents before and after and would walk us through various options even after seeing the pictures so we weren’t locked in. I felt confident after talking with him he was professional and had The experience I needed for this because I wasn’t sure if I really needed every single vent cleaned or not. Needless to say I am so grateful we went with them. David was amazing.., he went above and beyond walking around explaining how it would work... he found all the vents - even some hidden behind furniture (and was only charging Flat fee) and immediately shared w me what was in each... and explained options on cleaning. The pictures before and after we’re incredible...he included the dryer fee since I had agreed to do all the vents for a flat fee.. and the dryer was a HUgE undertaking. I’m shocked we didn’t have a fire before now after what he found... the lint was overwhelming and he even found moisture under the dryer ..and the piece of tube connecting to my dryer was defective- he explained he had a better piece that would work (for no additional charge he replaced the defective piece that had lead to the lint seeping out over time. In one of the larger vents in the main hallway he noticed the screws were loose not only fixed them but found objects (actually a piece of drywall ) inside the vent that the previous service or workers had left there covered in 3 inches of dust ...and probably creating more as it broke down in there over the years...he actually found another object left in one of the vents that could’ve been obstructing the air cycle. It was unreal. It made me realize how we just assume the things we can’t see are working as they should... and I pray it doesn’t take a dyer fire or lint fire to wake anyone up on this. I felt lucky to have found someone we trust in our home and trust to not overcharge for something yet so important ... I will be calling Wa duct cleaners (David) every year or at least every 2 years - you can trust it’s worth every cent (although they were lower than 2 of the other quotes I received!) it was an amazing deal for the care and service I got. You don’t need to call anyone else- you won’t be overcharged and you’ll be Satisfied you chose the nicest and most professional service - hardest worker...I couldn’t have been happier."

"When the electric motor on my almost 30 year old Filtex central vacuum system destroyed itself I found Avenue Vac. actually open on a Saturday afternoon. We discussed options on the phone and then the owner (Steve) drove over to my house. After looking at the system he told me that he was confident that he could replace the motor and save me the expense of buying a new canister, etc. He then took my canister with him and promised that he would be back by Wed., afternoon. <br /> He was back on Wed., with a new motor, seals, etc installed. This motor has double the power that the original motor had. Steve also came into my house and replaced one of the wall outlets that had worn out. <br /> He only charged for one service call. <br /> I much prefer using small local businesses over large companies, and Avenue Vacuum is just the type of business that I want to support. I will use him again if needed and would not hesitate to recommend him. <br />"

"I just launched an AirBNB on Bainbridge Island with the help of Kitsap Clean and I could not be happier with their service! They are incredibly responsive and do great work. Perhaps most important for an out-of-state owner like myself, their communication is impeccable. Each time they are en route to the house I get a text message, and then another one when they are finished. The office is also very responsive to any messages. It is so reassuring not to have to wonder if they are getting it clean between bookings. The price is also very fair for the size of our house. I could not be happier with Kitsap Clean!"

"We were out of direct service area for fan removal and re-installation. Fan located on 25 ft. ceiling. We were able to use local workers to get fan down but had a short turn around time to get it re-installed. Called Mike and explained situation. We shipped fan on Monday and got it back repaired by Thursday the same week. Mike very helpful and knowledgeable. Fan up and running like new. Great service and fair price. Would definitely use again."

FAQs for central vacuum repair or service projects in Seattle, WA

Central vacuum systems are a smart investment for homeowners, offering powerful cleaning performance and reducing noise levels in your home. They efficiently remove dust and dirt, lowering your daily maintenance chores. Plus, a professionally installed system can increase your home's value to interested buyers and make cleaning tasks simpler. Regular upkeep extends its life and functionality.

When choosing between cyclonic and filter central vacuum systems, opt for cyclonic units if ease of maintenance and simplified operation are critical, especially in secondary residences. For households with asthma, respiratory issues, or multiple pets, filter systems are recommended because they allow the integration of HEPA-certified bags and filters to ensure superior air quality and effective dust capture.

A central vacuum system lasts at least 10 years and can remain operational for up to 30 years with proper care. Regular professional maintenance, consistent filter replacements, and thorough cleaning of the in-wall piping ensure continued performance all year round. Consistent servicing by accredited professionals addresses minor issues, safeguards its operational integrity, and maximizes your investment.

The decision to repair or replace your central vacuum system depends on comparing repair expenses with new installation costs. Repair costs remain significantly lower than the expense of installing a new system. It is most cost-effective to restore functionality through professional repairs, except when critical components such as the motor or major electrical parts fail, which could justify replacement. If your central vacuum is over 10 years old and requires frequent repairs, it may be time to invest in a new system, too.

You can tell your central vacuum is clogged if you experience reduced suction and poor cleaning performance. Begin by checking the hose for a lack of suction and test each outlet systematically to locate any blockage. Consistent low suction indicates a clog within the system, and immediate inspection and remediation are required to restore reliable cleaning performance.
