Ernest was great too, as he handled our confusion of "fascia and soffits" but we got there in the end. "About a year earlier than our project, several of the homeowners in our community with stucco homes had their chimney rebuilt and the stucco replaced as a result of mold, rotting wood, and other water infiltration problems. Seeing what our neighbors were doing and knowing about the problems with stucco in PA, we hired a stucco inspector who identified several areas around our house where the stucco needed to be remediated, including the chimney. JJ&E Construction agreed to remove the stucco and repair the areas identified by the inspector with the understanding that if addition underlying problems were found, they would be required to address them. Once the work started, it quickly became apparent that the original stucco was not installed correctly. JJ&E also found that the foundation on the back wall of our walk-out basement was not installed correctly and agreed to repair that. JJ&E removed all the original stucco, replaced any damaged or rotted wood, replaced any damaged insulation, and installed new exterior plywood, Tyvek® wrap, additional weatherproofing layers, aluminum wrap trim around the doors and windows, and stucco that meets all current codes. The craftsmanship of all the work was excellent."

Juan was instrumental in developing the overall design concept, as well as brainstorming ideas for how to implement some of the custom details that we wanted (including a drink table for our hot tub!). He offered various design schemes for the deck boards, railing and stairs, as well, presenting options for upgraded looks and function while never pushing for pricier items (he even steered us away from the highest end composite panels because he didn't believe that we would benefit enough from it). Ricky and the construction team were friendly, always on time and created an extremely sturdy and attractive deck that was just as cool - or better - than Juan described during the design. Overall, GreenHouse delivered on their promises, finishing in even less time than they estimated and at the agreed budget price with no change orders or markups along the way.
