Small jobs welcome

"Mr Rooter called almost immediately and was at my home in less than 1 hour. Mr Rooter's technician Chris identified, cleared, and verified the blockage very quickly. After clearing the blockage, Chris set up a followup visit for the following week to pump out our septic tank and install a clean out fitting. We were very satisfied with all of the work."

"Stephen was great, my tub backed up with water and my toilet would not flush, turns out my septic field needed replacing. Very responsive, reasonably priced and best of all. I didn’t have to leave my home during the repairs. I’d give 10 stars if I could."

Benjamin Franklin's technicians performed outstanding service, installing an entire new and superior tankless hot water system, replacing our inferior and dangerously flawed tankless system that no longer performed. The lead technician was up front regarding the reasons for replacement, the cost of replacement, as well as less expensive alternatives. After we decided to replace with a new tankless system and because of the price point, the lead technician suggested time plan payment alternatives which was very helpful.

The day of installation, the crew arrived on time as promised and suggested that the unit be placed on the outside of the house instead of underneath in the crawl space, allowing for easy access for maintenance and trouble shooting as well as for safety. An excellent suggestion since the old tankless system had been installed against a wall in the crawl space underneath our bedroom floor which the lead technician noted, would have been bad for us if the corroded pipes had started leaking gas! Anyway, the entire job was completed without a hitch and again right on time as promised.

The new system has been working perfectly for six months now and we could not be more pleased! I would highly recommend Benjamin Franklin and their technical crews to anyone with plumbing issues - two thumbs up!

Septic Repairs
Holy cow!! We found it!
Almost looks like we didn't just install 400' of 4'' Storm Drainage to save the septic system from near total failure.

Sometimes excessive storm water can wreak havoc on a septic system and cause the system to break down prematurely.
The septic system was drowning, we suggested diverting the storm water to protect the septic tank & field lines. Problem Solved.

"Overall the service was EXCELLENT. However there was some minor communication issues that resulted in "no-shows" for the initial appointment. However, my first call was on a Tuesday and by Saturday they had visited and installed the new Hot Water Heater (Special vented and tankless)."

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in Seneca, SC

Sewer line replacement costs range from $50 to $250 per linear foot. Your replacement costs rise or fall based on material quality, installation complexity, and the specialized equipment crews need for excavation. Deeper lines cost more to access, and choosing budget-friendly PVC piping rather than premium copper also shifts the final price.

A sewer sleeve repairs cracked or damaged sections of a sewer pipe without the need for excavation. In this process, technicians insert a cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liner, saturated with epoxy, to seal defects and restore the pipe’s integrity. This approach protects your yard, trims repair time, and adds years to your sewer system’s life—all while delivering reliable results.

Newer homes use durable PVC and ABS piping that offer smooth interiors and effective clog prevention at an affordable cost. Older homes use materials such as copper, Orangeburg, clay, cast iron, or lead, which require a licensed plumber’s inspection to confirm safety and performance. This clear distinction impacts maintenance and overall system reliability.

Red flags include persistent clogs, recurring sewage backups, and unexplained spikes in utility bills. Strong sulfur odors, bubbling drains, and visible sewage in the yard serve as unmistakable warning signs. These symptoms demand immediate professional inspection and repair to prevent further property damage and health hazards, ensuring the system operates safely.

All sewer line projects require permits because strict sanitary and biohazard regulations mandate regulatory approval. Homeowners must secure permits, incurring a specific permit fee of $200 in addition to contractor costs. A licensed professional or local building department manages the permitting process, ensuring the work complies with all legal requirements before the project begins.

A clogged sewer line is not covered by standard homeowner’s insurance policies because these policies exclude damage from regular wear, tear, and neglect. In cases of accidental damage—such as when tree roots block the line—certain policies provide coverage. Homeowners must review their policy details or consult with their insurance provider to confirm the coverage terms.
