"Jim responded promptly to my order placed on Angie's List for the Remote Computer Tune Up & Repair Deal.  He cleaned up the computer remotely, which was running very slowly, and required frequent re-boots.  Computer is running much faster now.  Great service.  Would highly recommend.

"Carl Reese and his "boy wonder", Jesse, are the Batman and Robin of house painters! The amount, and quality, of the wood and trim repair that they did before painting was amazing. Any other painter in town would have required me to hire a separate carpenter to do this much pre-paint prep, but Carl and Jesse did it ALL (just the two of them), and did it magnificently. Quality materials, innovative repairs that kept my costs in check, honesty and integrity from the estimate through completion, and they're two really nice guys -- what more could you ask for? From price to professionalism, I HIGHLY recommend Reese & Sons Painting. I will absolutely hire them again when I'm ready to have the interior done. Thanks Carl and Jesse! I couldn't be happier with the great job that you did."

"David was great to work with. He was very responsive to any calls and questions. He took the time to explain all my options and went over in detail what they planned to do. During the replacement, David stopped by multiple times to ensure work was progressing correctly. He emailed pictures of the progress, showing issues I had with birds nests blocking my old vents. He followed-up a couple months later to make sure that the issues I had pointed out with my previous roof were still resolved. I would definitely recommend David to others needing roof work."

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."

"Fantastic. Booked only a week out from the call. Large professional crew arrived and did the entire roof in 7 hours. Clean up was complete. I didn't find so much as a nail. Payment was only requested after the job was done and I told them I was happy with the result. There were no hidden charges or BS. I wrote the check out for the exact amount on the estimate. Jerry's estimate came in from 1000 to 7000 dollars less than the other 5 estimates I got from Angie's list vendors. He's friendly, local, and great. No deficits to report."

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Shawnee, OK

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
