"the work went as scheduled. The cpunterer top installation went as planned. The tile back splash was done be the most competent installer I have seen. Not only does the tile look great but Seth the insaller took great pain to mawke sure the tile and grout finish was perfect.. He cleaned the kitchen and garage on his hands and knees after the work was done. Josh the salesman also took great pains and showed patience to help my wife and I find the right Quartz countertop material and matching tiles. Everyone connected with the job was professional and courtous."

"Ted came out to my home and listened to the ideas I had for the master bath Remodel. He made some great suggestions to improve the design. The cabinets were timely delivered. The quality of the cabinets was excellent. When he saw an imperfection he took it upon himself to correct it before I had a chance to ask. His installers were professional and curtious. <br />"

"Installed windows when it was freezing cold out & they were so efficient my thermostat only went from 70 degrees to 69. When they left you never knew they were here, the cleanup was done extremely well & they even took a magnet over my landscaping & driveway to pick up stray nails. The costs to heat & cool my house got cut almost in half. The locks are awesome, never seen anything like it on a window & what they didn't tell me was that I can no longer hear the traffic from the main road. My door & sliding glass door came next & they are way warmer than my previous doors & beautiful. The door carpenter was very meticulous & you couldn't get a better installation. Definitely had a much better experience than when I've used other contractors! I'm looking forward to my next project with Integrity."

"Overall the service was good.  The sub contracters were great.  The patching on the ceiling in not noticable. It is a great job.  The tiler fixed broken tile and installed new tile.  He was very cooperative and did a great job.  The electrican was very patient. and helpful designing the location of lights above the counter. <br /> <br /> Adam from KDS was good at helping us pick cabinets and counter tops.  We visited the counter top wholesaler and picked out the two pieces we need for the project.  The project started and ended as promised.  There were a few minor bumps but taken care of very easily. I did have to call and inquire as to the time to expect the subs. "

"Salesman was absolutely the epitome of every stereotype ever written of a sleazy salesman. Showed up one day and refused to even complete the appointment as both spouses were not home. This was never mentioned. Showed up for the second appointment, slightly late. Talked non-stop for about 45 minutes when a second person appeared, with samples, etc. First salesman finished up gave us a price and then immediately started the "if you sign today.........." stuff. As we had done our homework, we knew that the price was a good one and agreed to the work. All of a sudden #1 got a "phone call" from (insert a famous name around town) and had to leave. #2 did all of the paperwork and was quite nice. We did not immediately (the next day) provide some tax info and got several frantic calls, which we ignored and directly called the office. Once the approval was complete, we heard nothing. After about 10 days, we called to see if they were going to install the insulation, etc., and the person on the phone (from Dayton) looked at his calendar and noted that they had time in two days. Scheduling is NOT their strong point. The day before, we called to confirm and the office acted as if we were crazy, of course they would be there. The crew that showed up, on time, was professional, clean and quite good at their jobs. We love the product, it works as promised, and we did get follow up calls asking about our satisfaction. Did I mention that sleazy salesman #1 told us that Erie Constr. had an "A" rating on Angie's List? Apparently he doesn't read well. If you can get past the front office, the work is quite good. LOVE the e-shield."

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Shippensburg, PA

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
