"This job went absolutely perfectly. Working with Ted on the design was easy and straightforward. He asked us questions about our wants and needs -- and he listened. His design reflected our input and requests. Ted provided us design options and prices helping us navigate to reasonable outcomes. <br /> <br /> As we choose our appliances, countertops and back splashes, Ted worked integrally and seamlessly with each of those suppliers to assure the project pieces fit together perfectly. <br /> <br /> Ted and his team met every one of their deadlines on time -- and Ted was instrumental in resolving any issues we might have had with other suppliers in our project. <br /> <br /> Heirloom's installation team -- led by Ted's brother, Terry -- were painstaking perfectionists. "He's a very nice man, I would highly recommend him, very professional, very organized, did a great job. The only reason I didn't go with him is because his price was quite a bit higher than what Dan had quoted. It took a while for Dan and I, I had some major projects going on and he was also finishing up some work so it was a while before Dan and I could actually meet. It was the same project he quoted on, and I would use him, he was that good, I felt like he was a good, he was very presentable, very professional, just really on his game and that's probably why can afford to charge more and I think he was also going to be doing part of the job so that was good and be on site, but like I said his price was significantly higher and that's the only reason I didn't use him. When I would do the other bathroom, the master, which is going to be quite a bit bigger of a project, I probably would call him again to get another quote from him if he's interested in doing that, he's that good and he has great reviews too. I feel bad, this is a smaller bathroom, I had a budget that I needed to stand for and he had gone over that and that's the only reason, I'm not saying he's not worth it, that's why I feel bad giving a "B" because for all I know, he would have done a better job, I wouldn't know that, I'm just not willing to spend that much money to have him to a better job."

Collins Construction has been in business since 1971. We have 8 full-time employees and 3 part-time employees. We are a registered PA Home Improvement Contractor (PAOAGHIC:003749). \nWe are a general construction company with expertise in the following areas: framing (wood); roofing – asphalt shingles, Carlisle rubber, pre-formed standing seam metal; concrete – footers, flat work; plumbing; electrical; small block and drywall jobs; custom cabinets – in-house cabinet shop complete with finish room and spray booth; garage doors – Clopay sectional doors/roll-up doors, commercial and residential operators; CAD operator for design work – we use the Chief Architect program for plans/drawings; and home stand-by generators. We use subcontractors for excavation, HVAC, masonry, painting, roofing, and well-drilling. Most flooring and plaster/veneer/drywall jobs are also subcontracted.

"The design of the tile went very well.  There were lots of cuts,  and we were very happy with the way the tile turned out.  We did not like the fact that the job was never completed.  The price included saddles for the areas where the kitchen floor meets the Living room, and where the kitchen floor meets the Family room.  This was never completed.  We have tried to call Lay It Down, but we get no response.  The floor has been done for over a month now, and they still have not come back to finish.  So basically it makes the entire area look bad. <br />"
