"In 2022, we decided to add a new kitchen and substantially remodel our mid-1960s Edmonds rambler. "Allan is a highly skilled, hard-working, smart, reliable and honest contractor who attends to details—and has a great sense of humor. He did most of the work himself but also hired and worked well with sub-contractors. He started with our garage, creating plans for a remodel with the help of an architect and then precisely implemented those plans. He went on to demolish our old kitchen (to the studs and sub-floor) and rebuild it, according to architectural blueprints. The job required reframing three windows, building walls, putting in a new fir floor, installing cabinetry and a very heavy but beautiful hood/vent, installing appliances, tiling and painting walls, window frames and a box-beam ceiling. A complicated part of the job was building a permanent buffet with rounded corners and tempered glass inserts which he did well. He also built walls and laid flooring in our laundry room. We feel so lucky to have found and worked with Allan, and we’re hoping to be able to work with him again on future projects."

"We called Vic Steiner and we liked that he was a one-person business, explained our project and asked him to give us a bid. He gave us a few options, and presented us with a detailed bid, which we thought was very reasonable. He estimated the job would take about 4 days and we could tell he really knew his craft. He kept us informed daily what his plan was for each day. The job entailed re-positioning a set of double-doors, framing, sheet rocking, mudding and taping the stair encasement wall for paint ready, trim for a single door, the double doors, a new set of folding doors for a laundry area and a lighting circuit with 3-way switches. He was very pleasant, trustworthy and took great pride in his work. Top of the line craftsman! We are hoping to hire Vic to do our bathrooms this summer. We would recommend him highly!"
