"I am very thankful that Everdry Waterproofing has done the water proofing efforts for my basement. They are very professional they showed up everyday on time and they worked the whole time they we're here. They answered all my questions and they did a very nice job, And most importantly the waterproofing works. The sump pump install is very nice and the E-Z Breath ventilation system does wonders for the air quality in your home. Most importantly I have a dry basement. I am glad I went with Everdry and they also offer a great warranty and they will come out and rectify any problems. Thanks Everdry. J. D. Portage, IN."

"About 3:30pm Christmas Eve I was taking a shower and noticed that the water pressure was diminishing.  After the shower I went into the basement and noticed that my well pump wasn't kicking in.  After checking the pressure switch and found it had power going in and out to the pump, I'm thinking, great, everybody will be closed for the Holiday.  So, I waited until Friday to start calling some water well companies.  Out of the six companies I called, Joe Johnson of All J's was the only one to call me back and said he could come out tomorrow which was Saturday and take a look at it.  On Saturday they went into the basement and checked my water pressure tank, pressure switch and electrical system.  He found out that I needed a new pressure tank because there was a leak in the bladder but told me that wasn't the cause for not having water.  Then he went outside and removed the cap on the well's electrical box and found that there wasn't any power at the well.   They started digging at the well to find where the water pipe and the romex (power cable) from the house entered the well.  After digging about five feet and not being able to locate it and with the end of the day approaching fast, Joe decided to try running power straight from the pressure switch to the well through a basement window.  I can't tell you how releved I was when my pump kicked in when Joe had me throw the breaker.  He asked if I minded having the wire run over the ground until Monday when he could return and finish the job.   You can imagine what I said.  He also asked if I wanted to replace my pressure tank and that it wasn't urgent but I should replace it at some point so I told him to go ahead.  He told me that he would bring one back Monday.  They returned Monday and finished the job and it works good. <br />"

"Excellent. Flawless work and managed to find a Grohe part in a day (which is a line Helmus does not carry). They were shorthanded so the service manager Danny Snyder came out within a business day of my call (nothing was urgently broken). Danny offered me several options for each repair taking into account upcoming remodels, he was ver personable and interested in puzzling out some of the problems I had been noticing. I felt completely comfortable leaving him to finish the job and lock up behind himself."

"when tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. I was surprised however that the tech expected me to pay in full before he ordered the part and repaired the problem, but I did using my credit card knowing if there was a issue the credit card co. would have my back, The part was order and Alex fixed it as soon as it came in and was great"

"The plumber was able to come the same day; he also asked to check the pipes in the basement. There is a large, old pipe which needs to be removed, and a former job which was poorly done that needs reworking. I am interested in getting this work done, and was told I would be provided with an estimate, but to date this has not been received (the only reason for my B rating in some areas)."

"I'm very pleased. I had concerns about dust and fumes from the epoxy. The dust was minimal and fumes were not an issue at all. If I had to do it all over again, I'd set up a box fan with filters, as I've seen on YouTube, but even without that, the dust was not overwhelming. The workers arrived on time, explained what they were going to do and welcomed my checking in on them. When they went to lunch, they cleaned up their work area, (even put the toilet seat down in the basement bathroom), something I didn't expect at all. I had questions when they were at lunch, and the salesman got the answers I needed quickly. A couple of things I would change about this process: 1. After they were done, cleaned the area for the day, and put their equipment away, one of the workers invited me downstairs to approve their work. If I had not approved, it was a bit late for me to object as they were packed and ready to go. I suggest in the future the homeowner be asked for their approval before everything's packed up. Their work looked good, but this seemed like a manipulative tactic that wasn't appreciated. 2. The more experienced of the two workers explained early on that he needed to remove some insulation but assured me he'd put it back when he was done. When I saw that he'd not put it back, I mentioned it. He refused to put it back, saying "It doesn't matter". It was an odd way to end a perfect job up to that point. I was totally pleased with how everything was handled, and then that comment and behavior from him just put a bad taste in my mouth. That evening or the next day, I received a very nice gift from the company that was just a really nice touch. A couple of weeks later, we had heavy rains and I experienced water along the walls where the work was done. Within a week of me raising the concern, an arrangement for a technician to visit my home was made. I appreciate their prompt attention to the matter. I expect it's very simple like needing more epoxy at the base of the straps, so I decided to go ahead and submit this review. It's difficult to find trustworthy people to do work in your home. I'm very relieved I found a company that is totally worthy of that trust and highly recommend Acculevel. The work they did looks good and solid."

"Tommy, Joe and their crew did a bang up job on our bathroom. There was a roughed in sewer line for the toilet and sink, but no shower. They had to jackhammer through the concrete floor to run a sewer pipe to tie into the rest of the plumbing. They also ran copper water lines to the new bathroom. They also installed the shower and shower faucet. Since we have septic, there was a roughed in sump pit that had to have an ejector pump they installed one too. I'm very pleased with their job and professionalism. It was a HUGE job and they did it promptly. <br />"

"I got three estimates. They were the middle estimate but they did not try to upsell me as the others did even though they did explain all of my options and answer my questions. They arrived on time, performed the work per their estimate. They warned me about the dust even though they clearly tried to contain it as much as possible. Cleaned up after themselves. The drain system is working. The workers answered all of my questions. I would hire them again if needed. They put the drain in one side of my basement and under a porch."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in South Haven, MI

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
