"I was glad with how fast, friendly, easy it went for me to turn it in and get results quickly. They helped with my Angie's discount so it was good to know i got the best price (less than I imagined) to have this done. The possibility of having mold in a house is stressful enough... glad to have this go smoothly."

"We couldn't be happier! Alliance performed work on our home in early March, the week before we moved in - there were known foundation cracks, and the inspection also revealed a small amount of mold. From the first phone call, to the initial eval and quote, to the completion of work - everything was timely and professional. We elected to have them gut the small lower level (of our tri-level home), and are thankful we did - rotten floorboards and an additional crack were discovered. We were called and consulted prior to them doing some additional work that was required. The cracks were repaired, the containment process was excellent, and the work area was completely cleared of debris and was left tidy when they were finished. Then, all we had to do was wait for some torrential rain to see if the repairs worked! It is now June, and we've had 2 days of heavy rain - the type of rain that previously caused there to be water all over the lower level (this home was known to us for several years prior to purchase from a family member). I'm so thrilled to report that although our side yard is a lake (which normally meant that so was the basement), our basement is completely dry! Not a drop. We are so happy that we feel safe finishing the lower level now, and have some wonderful additional living and storage space. The cost for repair was 100% worth it. Thank you so much for everything!"

"It went well. They communicated with the adjustments in scheduling due to excessive rain and flooding to provide emergency service to other customers. For sure, flooded basements take priority over repairs in an attic. Great group of individuals that work like a team. I would use them again. Also, they provided the name of a gentleman who does animal removal, Born Trapping Services, and he and his son did a great job as well."

"The report was very professional and detailed. The response was fast. The price was expensive but due to the detail, understandable. I wouldn't hire again due to multiple requests for a completed report and estimate for the mold remediation and just getting robotic replies that didn't answer my questions."

"<strong>insurance co. paid for removal & installation of new vanity, contractor bought wrong size cabinet [he had size of original one].I had a sprained ankle & could not go upstairs to see vanity. they did not tell me it was wrong size .  when I found out we could not re-install  toilet paper holder [also covered by insurance] is when I found out it was wrong size. I called sub contractor and told him it had to be removed and same size as original vanity had to be installed. contractor called me and said I picked the vanity & I would have to pay to remove it .  I did not pick or see it before they installed it and was never told it was wrong size and I refused.contractor then said , " this is the size they are putting in  bathrooms today,] I said the insurance paid for replacement of original vanity & that is what I needed. he was very angry. also he was to install new water inlet lines. he did not use a plumber to install the first vanity and sink they brought, he used the drywall person and had him use the original solid copper compression lines from original vanity. they were to short and he could not get the faucet to stop leaking water. he kept tightening the nuts on to my original faucet and finally stripped the faucet  threads. he came downstairs and told me what happened and said the faucet could no longer be used and I would have to buy a new one.  I bought a new one and told rick [contractor] what happed and he refused  to re-pay me for faucet . [$50.00]. then I received a new contract with a higher amount , & he re-worded the vanity  from original remove and replace to remove and reset, and added owner was to purchase vanity,  when I told him I was not responsible for the replacement because the insurance co. had included the cost in the contract, he kept saying  "i did not charge you for a vanity in my new contract  so you are responsible for the cost." I could not get him to admit that he was already paid for the vanity cabinet in the insurance quote. I also called my insurance  and told her what was going on and she said  I was correct . the contractor was to pay for the vanity. then he gave me a separate contract for an additional amount of $2,522.80 and wanted a check from me  to cover the water extraction & remediation . I told him that was also covered in contract by insurance. and had nothing to do with me.  some of the work in bathroom was shoddy and had to be re-done. also in his original contract he put me down as paying for floor tile.  also covered by insurance. </strong>"

FAQs for toxicity and mold removal projects in South Beloit, IL

Remediation should keep mold from returning as long as the moisture source is eliminated. Fix leaks, control humidity, and replace water-damaged materials, then schedule periodic inspections to stay ahead of new growth. With those safeguards, your home can stay mold-free for the long haul while protecting both health and property value.

Most pros recommend leaving the home while they work on mold remediation. Removing mold stirs up airborne spores that can aggravate respiratory issues, and contractors can work more efficiently in an empty space. A short, temporary relocation keeps everyone in your family safe and lets the crew finish the job without interruption.

Mold shouldn’t return once the moisture problem is fixed. Stay vigilant: repair leaks right away, keep humidity below 50 percent with a dehumidifier placed in damp areas, and improve ventilation where needed. Routine checks for leaks and mold and quick repairs go a long way toward keeping your home mold-free.

Mold spores can trigger nasal congestion, throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or skin rashes. People with asthma, allergies, or weakened immune systems often feel the effects sooner and more intensely. Some molds also release mycotoxins linked to serious respiratory or neurological issues. Swift remediation and better ventilation are the best defenses.
