"Ed And his team were fantastic. This is the second time we’ve used his company and would highly recommend them. Ed is honest, identifies the problem, tells you exactly what you need done and his company’s pricing is fair. He doesn’t try to sell you services that aren’t necessary for your home’s problem. They repaired and waterproofed a large vertical crack in our foundation where water was entering He also stands by his company’s warranty as an area we had done almost 10years ago was showing some evidence of water and they redid it without charge using newest materials. When job was completed all grass and landscaping were put back in place. Since the work was completed we have not had any other problems with water getting in our basement area."

"I had a problem with the water pressure fluctuating. Come to find out, it was the holding tank. The professionals at Waterdrct came out (Dennis) promptly and found the tank was old and waterbound. They were like lightening (in a good way) and had the tank replaced in like 30 mins. These guys are GOOD !!! The water pressure was more than I thought the well could produce. Excellent job and very informative. They are true professionals !! I highly recommend them."

"Eric replaced my old leaking oil furnace (for hot water and heating) with a electric hybird water heater (hot water) + high efficiency oil furnace (for home heating). Eric and his company did a great job on installing the two system in my house. Very professional and fair price for the work they did. I'm very pleased and will be looking to get them to install a ductless hvac system in the near future."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in South-lyme, CT

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
