Prior to the appointment, Douglas advised me to purchase replacement motors only rather than buy new exhaust fans when I discussed the issue with him. This was consistent with what I had researched online and discussed with a hardware store employee. Saved time, money, and the headache of having to repair and paint the ceiling. A good experience overall. "

Ben came in and took apart the dryer -- an older Kenmore gas model -- and quickly identified the reason it wasn't drying. He switched out some parts, installed a new fuse and had it up and running within an hour. The whole thing was under $250, which included a service call charge, parts, and taxes. "DO NOT USE: We were quoted $6K for a shower kit install. Upon completion of the work, it was immediately apparent that the installation was defective and did not meet acceptable industry standards. Specifically: No water membrane was installed behind the shower kit, rendering the installation non-compliant with waterproofing best practices. No caulking was applied to seal seams, leaving the installation vulnerable to water intrusion and damage. The walls and surrounding trim were not plumb, which made it impossible to install a functioning shower door. A McLendon's supervisor subsequently inspected the installation onsite and acknowledged the poor workmanship. We were informed that the matter would be addressed, but despite multiple follow-up phone calls, we received no further communication or resolution from McLendon's. Nevertheless, the remaining balance of $3,100 was charged to our account without our authorization or consent and without any resolution."
