"We had a pretty tricky project trying to create one level throughout an old house. Our project started with a foundation repair before they came in so we had some other repairs as well. The AGC team handled the subflooring build out, baseboards, door casing adjustments, trim, some new bead board in a bathroom, a pine accent wall, sheetrock repairs, texture and painting. We had a few issues come about during the project but they were eager to correct anything we were concerned about to our satisfaction. Alan produced quick accurate quotes and Geoff was very hands on and commutative throughout the project. Anytime there was a concern, Geoff quickly worked with his crew to correct the issue. The pine accent wall and sheetrock repairs were especially polished and clean. The payment process was clear and convenient. We hope to work with them again in the future."

"This was our first experience with remodeling a home, so we were very nervous about finding the right contractor. Catalyst Construction was recommended by our interior designer, and they turned out to be an excellent partner for this huge project! The project manager was professional, communicative, and accommodating throughout the duration of the work. As a mechanical engineer and former project manager myself, I was generally impressed by their attention to detail and willingness to work with us through design changes as the work progressed. The Catalyst team stayed on track and even pushed to complete final punch list items a few weeks ahead of schedule to allow our family to move in ahead of a deadline. For a project of this scale, it was exciting to see the final product start to appear after months of foundation, framing, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical work. In the end, I would say that the quality of their work exceeded my expectations. Catalyst brought our vision to reality and it has been a wonderful place to call home!"

"Outstanding performance in meeting my needs to replace an existing wooden deck. This included demolition, constructing new framing and placing the wood deck boards, and sitting benches. The new deck was over 640 sq. ft. Tyler and Eric are very skilled. Their attention to detail is very satisfactory. Both guys are easy to talk to, answered all my questions, and stayed on schedule. I recommend SPS and Contracting for any deck renovation."

"John Ligon was hired to remodel our bathroom and we were so glad we did. John is very professional and brought artistry, honesty and and perfectionism to our project. He completed the job beautifully and on time and within our price range. John was great with communicating with us daily, which is not usually the norm in construction. We always felt in the loop of how our job was going. Another great quality we recognized about John Ligon was his honesty and concern with quality v price with fixtures which helped us navigate successfully through our remodel project. And here is the bonus you get when you hire John Ligon for your construction job… good natured, happy, positive man that brings all that to the job site - no drama! We were very delighted with a job well done and you too will be showing off to friends and family your beautiful remodel too. "

Customers say: Quick response

"We hired Larry for 2 projects, and both were exceptional in their design. The first was a second-story deck off of the master, with a vaulted screened room and a spiral stair leading down to the patio area. The roof lines complimented the existing roof beautifully. The second project was a 3-phase building: â ¢ Phase 1 was my 45'x30' woodworking studio with 24' vaulted ceiling. This is a metal building;. â ¢ Phase 2 added a 2-story 20' x 30' one bdrm 2 bath apartment to the back of the studio, including floor to ceiling glass windows on the back side. â ¢ Phase 3 will be converting the structure into a 4-bdrm house when I am no longer able to do this work. It was a complex plan, and Larry executed everything beautifully. No wasted space anywhere. He really listens well, and is very responsive. We highly recommend Larry for both new buildings and remodel. His design is impeccable."

FAQs for addition to existing structure building service projects in Spicewood, TX

You can typically raise your roof by four to eight feet, depending on your home's structure and roof design. The exact amount depends on factors like roof slope and framing support. Raising the roof creates additional interior space, enhances natural light, and increases your home's value. Consult a professional to determine the feasible height increase for your home.

Yes, you need a building permit to raise your roof. Obtaining a building permit ensures your project complies with local building codes and safety regulations. A professional contractor can assist with the permit and inspection process and ensure all legal and safety requirements are met. Your contractor will be familiar with building codes in your area, which can differ between cities or states.

While it's possible to raise a flat roof, it requires extensive structural modifications. Flat roofs lack the attic space and support structures of pitched roofs, so raising them involves significant engineering to ensure safety and durability. This process can be complex and costly, so professional assessment is essential before undertaking a project of this magnitude.
