"I was glad with how fast, friendly, easy it went for me to turn it in and get results quickly. They helped with my Angie's discount so it was good to know i got the best price (less than I imagined) to have this done. The possibility of having mold in a house is stressful enough... glad to have this go smoothly."

"She is incredibly thorough and experienced. We received a 50-page report that included photos. She caught some problems with the roof that our roofing contractor missed when he was doing his inspection a few days later. She's also very personable and friendly and was happy to show and explain to us some of the issues she found. She treated us like family. After receiving the report she took the initiative to call us to see if we had any questions about the report, and was very happy to answer questions when we called her later (multiple times!). She is very reasonably priced, and we don't think you could find a better inspector. So far we've hired her twice in our home hunt, and we will hire her again. We highly recommend her!"

"Kraig helped fit me in to meet my short <br /> timeframe, showed up on time and did a fantastic job. We discussed the process <br /> and he made it clear I was welcome to walk with him and ask question-- not <br /> similar to previous experiences with other inspectors. His careful <br /> consideration of my question and obvious expertise with a variety of <br /> construction types was useful in this instance of an older home that had been <br /> added on to and also increased my overall satisfaction. <br /> Kraig was thorough beyond my expectation and complete. As we discussed the <br /> additional mold/air test he clearly broke down the costs and the process.  <br /> Now that we have the inspection, nold air <br /> test and radon test completed I am glad to say that I would recommend BHIS and <br /> am very pleased with using Kraig Benoit?s services.  I was encouraged to ask all the questions I <br /> had and we talked through test results to be sure I understood them. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"I had Premier Basement come out to encapsulate my crawlspace. I have seen their work before since my parents used their services for the exact same reason. I wanted a warmer floor which required something to be done with the crawlspace under my house. Scheduling was easy, Steve came out and inspected the space and we walked through what would need to be done. I filled out the required paperwork and away we went. We had to reschedule a few times but communication was always open. The gals in the office are on the ball. Art and his coworker (forgot his name) came out and got the job done in a day. They did have to come back another day because one of the vent covers broke and they had no spares in the truck. Not a big deal, we scheduled it and got it on in about a 2 week time frame. I am very happy with the work. I guess they actually do egress windows, which I will be calling them to do as soon as we move forward with finishing our basement."

"A nice young man came on time and cleaned most of my carpets and a recliner in two hours. He was fast and didn't charge more to do several area rugs as other companies have in the past. The carpets weren't overly wet and dried completely by the next morning even though the weather was cool. He used a plastic baffel on the bottom of the entry door to ensure the hose didn't mar the paint and wore booties over his shoes. We were really impressed and will be using this company's service again. <br />"

FAQs for toxicity and mold removal projects in Spokane, WA

Remediation should keep mold from returning as long as the moisture source is eliminated. Fix leaks, control humidity, and replace water-damaged materials, then schedule periodic inspections to stay ahead of new growth. With those safeguards, your home can stay mold-free for the long haul while protecting both health and property value.

Most pros recommend leaving the home while they work on mold remediation. Removing mold stirs up airborne spores that can aggravate respiratory issues, and contractors can work more efficiently in an empty space. A short, temporary relocation keeps everyone in your family safe and lets the crew finish the job without interruption.

Mold shouldn’t return once the moisture problem is fixed. Stay vigilant: repair leaks right away, keep humidity below 50 percent with a dehumidifier placed in damp areas, and improve ventilation where needed. Routine checks for leaks and mold and quick repairs go a long way toward keeping your home mold-free.

Mold spores can trigger nasal congestion, throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or skin rashes. People with asthma, allergies, or weakened immune systems often feel the effects sooner and more intensely. Some molds also release mycotoxins linked to serious respiratory or neurological issues. Swift remediation and better ventilation are the best defenses.
