"I guess what I can say is…… You get what you pay for. I needed the leaves around the perimeter of my home and property blown out and removal of the leaves. Which they did, partially. I have leaves in areas that they started but did not fully complete. I was GREATFUL for the work that did get done. I just expected a better job. Would not recommend them. Sorry guys…."

"A three person team came out on time. They were hard working and quite brave to get up on a wintery roof in Minnesota to remove snow and chip and steam ice dams away. They were careful not to damage anything and left no mess behind. All in all, a very impressive work crew. I chose Doug's based on Angie's List reviews. Another company on the List with strong reviews charges $125/hour more than Doug's and has a three hour minimum whereas Doug has two. Thus, Doug proved to be an excellent choice in my opinion."

"When I made the appointment for 2:00 PM, I was informed that the workmen might arrive late due to previous commitments at other homes. So I had no problem when they didn’t arrive until 5:00 PM. Both men were very courteous and knowledgeable about ice dams. I was mildly surprised when I was told that they would only be shoveling some of the snow off my roof and would not be completely removing the ice dams. Instead, they told me that they would steam channels among the ice dams to allow melting water to escape over the side of the roof. My only concern was leakage into my house and they assured me that the channeling technique would solve that problem. After 2 hours, although they were still not done with the channeling, they had shoveled a significant amount of snow off my roof and had exposed the roof vents which had been covered. I authorized another hour so that they could complete the channeling but, after 30 minutes, they ran out of fuel for their steamer. One side of my roof had been completed but the other side was only 2/3 done. Still they assured me that there would be no leaking when the temperatures rose in the Spring. So far, I have had no problems. Although the job wasn’t done to my expectations, I’m assuming that these guys know what they’re talking about and they saved me some money in the process. If my roof starts to leak in the Spring, I will update this review. However, I’m optimistic that won’t happen. Would I recommend this company to others? Definitely. However, I would also recommend that your expectations be clearly communicated before the work begins."

"Excellent. We spoke about price and he was responsive to immediate needs as we wanted work done before Monday am. We did not want owners or customers at risk of ice dropping down on them. He came out on a Sunday and worked well into the dark to take care of safety issues. Most pleased with his performance. He is very honest only starts the clock for charging when he is on the roof and starts steaming. No extra charges for driving or preparation time. Very honest likable contractor."
