Communication was outstanding. I always knew what was planned for each day and what to expect in terms of timeframes. They cleaned up before leaving each day to minimize the disruption. Steve was always readily available to answer any questions. As a result, I have a beautiful kitchen. I couldn't be more pleased."

They are very punctual, as they show up on time, every time. And I mean EVERY TIME. Additionally, his crew made sure to do an excellent job cleaning up after each day of work. This was truly appreciated as we have a young child and a dog living in the house as it was being remodeled. In this market and with inflation being what it is, we all know that some companies may try to stiff their customers by engaging in price gouging here and there. That was not at all the case with Total Renovations, LLC. The price that they quoted us and signed for was what was adhered to. If anything came up in the project where a particular aspect needed to be changed or corrected based off of the initial assessment, Russell always made sure to reach out to us immediately to explain the reason as to why, as well as obtain permission to proceed. That particular point was extremely reassuring, whereas some other companies may just add extra work to your project without notifying you and then hit you with an inflated bill at the end. At no point in time did Russell ever try to oversell me on any aspect of the project, nor did he brush aside any issue that other companies may feel to be trivial. If we had a question or a concern, Russell had an answer or a solution. Russell and his team were able to take a vision that we had in our heads for our open space, and literally turn it into a reality. Additionally, we were able to add in some recessed lighting and ceiling fans along the way. The attention to detail that his crew invested into our project was above and beyond even our own expectations. It truly feels like we are living in a new house. "Project: Annual cleaning and inspection of two direct vent gas log fireplaces. The people that came were very friendly and did an excellent job of inspecting the duct and vents of the gas fireplaces. One was a direct vent with easy access from the deck, the other the tech had to climb onto the roof. The tech noted a flashing that needed some caulking which he was able to do at an additional fee as this was not part of the original inspection/cleaning task. He did provide a discount as he was already on the roof. Although they cleaned and inspected the vents, they did not perform the items listed in the Heat and Glo annual cleaning and inspection checklist for the fireplace units themselves. I have to get a company in who actually does maintenance and sustainment work on direct vent gas fireplaces. After repeated tries, the tech was not able to actually start the one fireplace he attempted to start and it was obvious he did not know the procedure. I paid and they departed. I would not ask them to come back for a gas fireplace job, however, they were professional and nice, so I would consider them for a project better suited to their knowledge and experience. Rather than scan my credit card, the tech took an actual photo of it with his cell phone. I called the company and they said they would be sure the photo was deleted. I have not gotten a return call confirmation."

"Contracted Kevin to build a 26x28 garage with an attic loft. This was after a lot of research on what I could afford, what I couldn’t afford, and the must haves verses the nice to have options. I reviewed at least ten contractors thoroughly, vetted down to three, ended up in detailed conversations with two and in the end Kevin’s experience, personability, and communication won the day. I’m not what you would call an easy customer as I’m a program manager by profession and hugely detailed oriented with a dose of OCD compounded by 27 years in the military. Kevin communicated the expectations of how it will get bad before it gets good, i.e. it’s a game of patience, the area is going to get destroyed, and we’re basically going to break some eggs to make this omelet. All good, and when I felt like the start of this thing was never going to happen, Kevin snapped me back into reality. I enjoyed his visits and engagements as the project went on. I endeavored to stay out of the way but watch and filmed (time lapse) as the garage was being built. I could not be happier with the end result and honestly it was just impressive to see the various crews execute their portion of the build. It definitely takes patients, but the end result is absolutely worth the journey. I could not give a stronger endorsement of picking Kevin to make your project happen. He’s a great family guy, musician, and you just feel better being around him. He passes the beer and puppy test. Yes, and a Yes. If you don’t know, google it."
