"They arrived at my house before I did. They told me they would call first so that if I wasn’t there it would give me 30-40 minutes to get home. No worries!! I made it home pretty quick and showed them the items that needed to be removed and they did so in a short amount of time. I paid them and they left. Thank you, Marion"

"This pro provided useful information via a virtual (online) video consultation. Since this service does not send technicians to the home, they did not do the actual work. I am considering whether to order parts and try to complete the repair myself or under their virtual direction."

"I hired Daryl to convert my electric stove to gas. He was very friendly and charged a very reasonable price. He even called back about a week later to check his work. He wanted to know if after cooking had I discovered it not being level or any issues. I had no problems and appreciated that he was concerned with the quality of his work. I will call Daryl first if I have a project and find out if it is in his wheel house"

"This technician was disrespectful to females , treats them poorly and over charged for a simple repair. She asked for a copy of the estimate to review with me and he refused and told her that he has thousands of customers and noone ever asked for a copy of the estimate . RUDE RUDE RUDE "

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in Stafford, VA

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
