"N&S Custom Fence is a top notch company. I was contacted by Kathy who performed the estimate. She was on time, professional, and knowledgeable. Mike was the partner who performed the actual fence construction. He was always courteous, knowledgeable, and agreeable to changes I sprung on him at the last minute. He always exhibited professionalism and a "can do" attitude. The family had suffered a personal loss before my work began. They were still on time, on budget, and communicated with me about any concerns/details I needed to know. I hired them for their excellent pricing and professional demeanor. Their work backs up the initial impression"

"Clyde Wray of Aspen Fence inspected the site, worked with owner-provided diagrams and proposed a fee per foot of fence and a very quick start date. He arrived with ample crew to engage the project with reasonable progress and he stayed with the project until it was finished. He graciously worked with plan changes during construction and made every effort to realize our expectations. The materials used were No-Climb 5' woven wire and 16' rough-cut oak boards, provided at a substantial discount to reduce the cost of the overall project for the owner. The fence lines are as straight as an arrow, the curves are well-formed and appropriate for the contours of the terrain and all the gate posts are still straight a year later -enough concrete and bracing posts were used around stress points and gates to hold the fence without sagging or unsightly bows.  The most interesting aspect of this fence construction was the use of a crimped joiner to splice the cut ends of the wire sections together, which allowed for three important features (1) Cost savings from less wasted wire (2) No sharp edges to injure animals or people, and (3) The wire could be fixed at each end of a fence row, while tension keeps it in place across the interval span. Essentially, it makes for an articulate, sharp- looking wire fence. If you are trying to keep horses safe from marauding dogs, this is a wonderful way to go. The fence is fantastic, and it looks as good today as it did when it was first installed. The family is simply delighted with the product, the price and the workmanship."

"Paul and his team with EaZy Construction Inc have great pricing. They beat the existing quotes I was given. They are prompt, efficient and capable. EaZy Construction came to my residence, quoted me, accepted and completed the work when other companies couldn’t even start the work for months. The whole crew was very personable and pleasure to have on my property while they finished my fencing project. I was so impressed with the professionalism and quality of their work I plan to use them for all of there services in the future as I continue to improve my home."

FAQs for barbed wire fence installation projects in Stafford, VA

Barbed wire is a type of fencing made from steel wire with sharp edges or points spaced along the strands. It's designed to prevent unauthorized entry or contain livestock by acting as a physical deterrent. Barbed wire fences are often seen in agricultural settings or high-security areas because they're effective, durable, and require little maintenance.

You can expect to pay between $3 and $6 per linear foot for a barbed wire fence, including installation. The exact price depends on factors like material quality, number of strands, wire thickness, and labor costs. If you have a larger project, bulk purchasing and hiring a professional might offer cost savings.

The number of strands you need depends on the fence's purpose and the level of security you want. For a standard livestock fence, you might use three to five strands. For higher-security needs, you may require more strands to meet your needs. Consider your specific requirements and talk to your fence installation pro to determine the appropriate number.

Barbed wire fencing regulations vary by location. In many residential areas, the use of barbed wire is restricted or prohibited due to safety concerns. Before installing a barbed wire fence, work with your barbed wire fence installation pro to check local zoning laws and homeowner association rules to ensure compliance with regulations.

The lifespan of a barbed wire fence depends on the quality of materials and environmental conditions. Fences made with high-quality, galvanized wire and proper coatings can last between 20 and 30 years. Regular maintenance and inspections can extend the fence's longevity by addressing issues like rust or damaged strands promptly.
