"Made an appt. with Castle Rep, James, for 17 windows and vinyl siding. He spent 1 hour talking about how great his company and windows are before finally getting down to the issue. We were told that CASTLE makes and services their own window, with all the best technology and technicians available. The price per window for energy efficient came out to over $1,200 per double-hung window! And since they make their own products, we could not find a way to compare quality and price with other manufacturers. But his per-window price exceeds the average price of $500-700 by A LOT! When we balked, he made a call to his "manager" to see if we qualified for a "special promotional" discount. If we were to commit right there on the spot, we would get an additional 10% off! Still way to high. We said we would think about it (he got sad and snippy), and that we wanted to hear about the vinyl siding quote before we made any decisions. He told us he could not give us a siding quote until his company did an "eagle view" measurement, which would require another appointment! We had no intention of sitting through ANOTHER high-pressure appointment. High pressure, long-drawn out presentation and he would not leave us with anything in writing! No brochures, prices, nothing! He refused to put anything in writing and we could not have a break down of labor and costs. I even asked him if I could have a copyhh of the window warranty and he said "only if you purchase right now." And they did not come prepared with references or previous job locations! When we further researched the company, we found they did make very excellent products, but the #1 complaint was by far that they did not honor their lifetime warranty and that customer service was horrible. In the end, we chose not to do business.."

I came from a bad situation and had to have a 12yr old roof replaced...NOT from these guys...so I asked every question I could think of. "I will use McNeely Construction for all of my home improvement needs! I had a leak in my roof that caused damage to the ceiling in my bedroom. I called five companies and explained the situation and requested bids. A couple were in my range, but I thought I would try one more, and I am so glad I did! They were the only ones to offer to tarp or temporarily patch the hole until the work began – that was the first clue that I was dealing with a company that puts their customers first. The estimator, Brandon, was at my house on time and he was able to answer all of my questions. I didn’t feel any pressure to sign a contract, but I did because of the amazing customer service and the price was right. Six days later, I had a new roof and it looks fabulous! The ladies in the office, Sheri and Janelle, kept in constant contact with me before and after the job. The next day, I had a neighbor ask me who I used because they loved the new roof and needed theirs replaced. I did not hesitate to give them the number for McNeely. I will refer all of my friends and family in the future. .... My next project is siding! I can't wait!"
