"I was very impressed with the professionalism of Neal's Electric and Plumbing. The workers were efficient, knowledgeable, pleasant and cleaned up after their work. I thought their price was very fair. I feel confident with the quality of their electrical service, and I would make them my first call when we need electrical service again. <br />"

"As a repeat customer, I can say that Billy never fails to deliver great customer service at a great price. He is honest and knowledgeable. We had an issue with our sewage exit drain pipe after record rain. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it. After the hole was dug he also noticed what could be another issue and upon further uncovering, he was 100% correct. Our pipe was semi disconnected just a bit further down the line. Taking care of that problem too while the hole was open saved us money and headaches! Our system is up and running well and the price was more than fair. If you want an honest, knowledgeable contractor, hire Amos!"

"They were great! We bought a house that needed some updating and some rooms were missing receptacles entirely. Brad was very helpful. He helped me make some sense of the wiring in our home and offered a lot of great advice. We were hoping to just squeeze in our outlets being updated/installed, but they were so great we had enough time to put in some new ceiling fans and pendant lights as well. Good guys, and will definitely be calling them in the future for some more electrical stuff as well as plumbing. <br />"

"<p>We had a leak coming from under the wall in a closet in our spare bedroom which is adjacent to a bathroom. I knew that the leak was coming from the bathroom but thought it was a pipe in the wall. I called Ark plumbing and spoke with Tory. He said he would be out after a service call he had to go too. He only charges $30 to look at the problem but has coupons in the phone book to get that waved. Tory arrived about an hour after our phone call and was very professional upon our meeting. He checked the leak in the closet and thought it may be coming from the shower. He checked our water meter to make sure that there was not continuous leak and then started checking the parts of the shower. He replaced the guts in the handle and thought that may have been our issue. I then went in to try and clean up the water in the closet and noticed the water was still coming through the wall. I called Tory back and he checked the toilet and found that it was uneven and the seal was worn out. He replaced the seal and took the time to make sure that the toilet was level. Tory also makes sure that he cleans up any mess that he makes when working in your home. He was very apologetic for misdiagnosing the issue and only charged me an hour for both visits. Tory is very respectful and is very reasonable on his prices. You can not go wrong with his workmanship. Thank you Tory and I will call you again if I have any other plumbing issues. </p> <br />"

"The test was simple--collect a water sample from a faucet in the home. We sent the test to the lab and received a water quality analysis within a few days. The test included analysis of the water sample for the presence of: coliform bacteria, E. coli, iron, lead, pH, turbidity, and nitrates/nitrites."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Statesboro, GA

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
