"My carport was leaking, which was why I snagged the deal ($179) for the Roof Maintenance Package. Johnson's Roofing promptly answered my call and sent an employee to inspect the roof. The leak was caused by a failure of a strip of metal flashing, which he replaced. I had been told I had up to five years left on the life of the roof, but the employee said I had only one to two years remaining and sent me an estimate for a new roof, a very reasonable one, it turns out. It has been less than one year since their inspection, and it turns out my roof is failing and must be replaced. They were right. The carport has been dry since their repair, but other portions of the roof are starting to fail.

"The team reacted very quickly to our call. After a quick inspection they found that the attic wasn’t properly vantilated. The roof ridge vents were all replaced and additional vents were install. All was done in a timely and professional manner, and at a reasonable cost. It took only a few days for the attic to completely dry, and the change in air flow was well noticed."

"They arrived on the date promised. This was probably more difficult than most jobs they do since it was inside the wall, but it was still completed in the same day along with a second job, installing a new exhaust duct for our hot water heater. We were very pleased with how well they kept the dust down. This is very dirty work, don't be deceived, but they tried to keep it down as much as possible. They helped with moving some furniture, laid down drop cloths, put up plastic to seal off the living room where they were working and cleaned up afterwards. Best price we found for doing this job. I can't speak to whether his prices are the lowest, but he doesn't charge a Franklin Mint! Good job, good price, good, hard-working crew. He made sure the job was done to our satisfaction when they completed. (I had to reschedule with him once, Chris was very gracious and accommodating) This is one of the FEW reputable contractors I have dealt with in Washington State. I would not only Absolute Chimney again, but recommend to anyone needing this kind of work done. Highly recommended!"

At the end of the day the cost estimates of all four contractors exceeded our desired budget so we decided to not move forward with the project.  JD's bid was significantly higher than the other bids we received.  However, the detail with which JD prepared his bid gave me confidence that his bid was probably more accurate and the actual cost of the project was likely going to exceed the bids prepared by the other contractors.  While we didn't end up hiring JD I would strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a high quality general contractor with a commitment to customer service.
