"Our initial meeting with Suj was great. Initially, we had in mind a much larger job. He had quoted us $3000 for the closet demolition / wall rebuild (non-load bearing), packaged with several other items. Together with the fee for drawings ($4000) and permits, this was a bit higher than we anticipated. However, we decided to go with Suj due to his responsiveness and professionalism. Out of our other quotes, Suj’s pricing was middle of the pack - not the cheapest or most expensive. When the drawings were complete and evaluated, he gave us an updated cost of $6000 over text message. The scope of work had changed, and this was no longer part of a bigger project - understandable. The issue was when he gave us the official estimate a week later and up’d the price once again to $9000. When asked what happened, his exact words were “well, I need to get paid too”. He had weeks to consider before quoting the $6000 and nothing had changed since then. The extra $3000 may be insignificant compared to most renovation costs, but for us in our first home, this was back breaking. We continued with Suj since we were already locked in and well past the 3 day cancellation period. Their work for the most part was exceptional. The new wall blended perfectly into our existing structure, and the ceiling patch was also well done. The problem here was the floor. They had dug up a 1” deep pit in the floor, likely to remove the wall studs. However, they did not patch the floor or even let us know this was going to be an issue. We were never told about the pit until I decided to check in on their progress one day towards the end of the wall build. This required us to pay a handyman to come in next day on a weekend to patch the concrete since we had cabinets being installed the following Tuesday. Suj was aware of this and did not believe it pertinent information. Overall, Suj and SoCal Builders do quality work, but the issues in pricing consistency lost us before the work even started. Not even telling us that we’d be left with a 1” deep pit in our floor after was another huge issue which should’ve been brought up much earlier. This was our first experience with a contractor and I’m not sure if this is typical or not. However, it’s enough to make me doubt I’d contact them for any future work."

After meeting with all of them and explaining to them what are we looking for, what we want to do and mainly what is our budget. We received estimates from all the contractors that we met and we selected Trig Builders because Yossi was the most competitively priced and the referrals that we got on him and his company were very positive. Yossi and the workers were very easy people to work and to deal with and Yossi designed the kitchen exactly the way we wanted it with some nice additions of things that we didn’t think we will get. His suggestions about the new kitchen layout, where and what materials to buy were very helpful. Also, his advises and recommendation on where to buy the cabinets, lightings, plumbing and appliances saved us a lot of money. The end result of the new kitchen was perfect and one of the things that added a huge plus before we hired them was the warranty that included in the price of the work that they did."

"Imperial Remodeling took on a top-to-bottom remodel of my small three-level townhome, including a roof-top deck. The home, which was previously occupied by a hoarder, was transformed! Gino Henn and his crew replaced everything, from the flooring in every room, to each of the 2.5 bathrooms and the leaky 2-stage roof. The roof is now an urban oasis, with turf and a deck cover. Imperial did a fantastic job. I love my totally new kitchen! Because the condo complex was old and not well maintained, there were unexpected and tricky problems with electrical and plumbing systems. But Imperial handled it all -- and stayed on schedule. The workmanship is excellent and detailed. The crew was careful and mindful of my neighbors and the cleanliness of building's common areas. Overall, I am very happy with the finished project."

We've been thrilled with the final product and the experience of signing with Ouri from day one was a pleasure. This was our first large project and we would undoubtedly hire Ouri again. Not only are his reviews overwhelmingly positive, but he's knowledgeable, respectful, patient, and honest, with competitive pricing to boot. He's also a very responsive communicator. We needed some time after signing the contract to shop for materials. Ouri kindly rolled with our uncertain timeline, checking in periodically without any pressure to see where we were at and advising on any questions we had along the way. From the beginning of the project, his crew was respectful, clean, and always checked in with us as any questions came up. The project went smoothly and for one very minor hiccup that came up, Ouri & crew were quick to address without question. And months later, he sent a member of his crew to come troubleshoot something minor, again without any hesitation. It's challenging to keep these brief when you have such a great experience, especially when you read and hear about horror stories from other people. Selfishly, maybe we should keep this to ourselves so he isn't so busy when we need him for another project in the future :) Scope The bathroom was totally gutted save for some sections of drywall. A full tiled shower with a bench was installed (replacing a tiny old corner unit!), along with added lighting & exhaust fan, new floor tile, and all new fixtures/ cabinets/ paint. The plumbing and the shower drain were relocated. An old window was removed and replaced by a new one on an adjacent wall."

Matteo was extremely helpful, informative, honest, and gave us reasonable realistic prices, and did not try to inflate the prices or pressure us in anyway. "Dealing with contractors is never easy, and Ben is no pushover, but with very few exceptions, Ben and his crew do what they say they are going to do when they say they are going to do it, and they do it very well. What else can you really ask for from contractors. He's organized and a person of integrity. I liked that he sent a Google chart with supplies to purchase that we could work together that helped me figure out what kind of parts and tiles to purchase. Great experience and our bathrooms are amazing."

"I needed a remodel job for my kitchen and living room, knowing it was something I couldn’t do and that the living room is a place where visitors must pass by, every visitor gravitates to the living room I decided to involve a professional. I contacted the Golan from H and A design. They did the work perfectly well. They started by providing a punch list for the both. In my kitchen, they used an engineered store that mimics marble and granite as well as sparkling granite floors. The painting was so cool and welcoming. They installed big cupboard that has many partitions and also a center table. The also installed new light fixture and a dishwasher that is better than the normal, the painting were all on white. Golan from H and A design gave my living room a welcoming look, the painting corresponded to the curtains and chairs. The walls were washed before the painting. The wood work was top coated when dried. At the end, my living room was so beautifully decorated. The center table and center rug were so awesome and it drew the attention of my visitors. I highly recommend them."
