"The Problem: I had a leak in my living room ceiling. I thought I needed the chimney repointed. I could not find a contractor on Angies List search who does that kind of work. I wrote to AL’s member services. They gave me a list of contractors. I selected A-Advanced Chimney Service. They were the only ones who specifically listed that as a service. The Inspection: They came and did a free inspection. They determined the Chimney Chase Cover was rusted with holes allowing water to enter. It needed to be replaced. They also offered “Flash Seal” a tar like sealant for the flashing. And “Chimney Saver” a clear water repellent sealer for the brick. I agreed to their estimate for everything. It also included a Chimney Cap. The Work: The work was done in one day. Tony the installer is very experienced and knowledgeable. I was surprised. Tony climbed up on the roof at about 11:00am and didn’t come down until around 5:00pm. The Execution: - The Chimney Cap is not plumb. It leans like the leaning tower of Pisa. I didn’t notice this until much later. - There was little cleanup. Months later I’m still finding screws and pieces of some tarred mesh material on the ground. - When Tony and his helper Tim arrived for the inspection they tore apart a sofa cushion. They needed it’s foam to keep from slipping on the roof. They didn’t remove all the padding. To this day I have white pieces of padding stuck to the roof shingles. - I called the manager Denise about this a couple of times. The first time she said she would send Tony over to fix the leaning cap and clean up. Tony never showed. Now with the Covid-19 situation she says she’ll send Tony over when things return to normal. - Lastly, during the install Tony needed a 1/4” drill screw driver. His was worn. I loaned him one. I didn’t get it back. Not a big deal but the rest of this is totally unsatisfactory. The Result: The ceiling no longer leaks."

"Devon and Casey were great, came out and took some measurements and were back within a few days to put the caps on. Unfortunately, the measurements were a bit off for one of the caps and they had to remanufacture it before they could install it. The guys were really awesome and came out on a Saturday so that the cap was installed before Tropical Storm Irma came through. They also took pictures of the installation so that I could see the work they did. Unfortunately for me, I found a few leaks along the chimney, post storm and at first I was concerned that maybe the flashing was damaged during the pan installation. Steve and the guys listen to my concerns and came back out to reinspect everything, which I really appreciated. They were completely willing to step up and take responsibility. Bad news for me was that the flashing wasn't properly sealed around the metal roof, Good news for them was that they did everything right. I would totally recommend these guys and if I have any more chimney needs, they'll be the first I call."

"Amazing work on my master bathroom they Completely remodeled. Work that was completed was tile, drywall, removed sauna and added in a jacuzzi tub, painted complete bathroom and installed new farmhouse sink. Also was able to repair my roof leak which I had several contractors prior who were unable to fix my leak. Windows look great and were installed in one day. Only hiccup was a window came cracked and they had to order a new sash. "We just used Bear Mountain Custom Painting to completely repaint the exterior of our house, including restaining our back deck and fixing wood rot issues on our cedar shingle siding. The work quality was exceptional from the entire team, starting with the sales coordinator (Zach). We had received several estimates from other companies and Bear Mountain was right in the middle, but we chose Bear Mountain because of their superlative reviews and the expertise that was immediately conveyed by Zach (who did a much more thorough survey of the house for wood rot issues, and also knew correctly that cedar siding needed to be stained rather than painted). Whereas other companies proposed just filling in wood rot with Bondo, the philosophy at Bear Mountain is that to make a durable repair, the rotten wood should be removed completely and replaced with rot-proof materials (PVC or pressure-treated wood). Having had previous bondo repairs of wood performed by the preceding homeowners fail, we were really impressed with the excellent carpentry work performed by Bear Mountain Custom Paiting. The work crew, led by Higi, was fantastic. Higi was a wonderful communicator, and any issues (like windows painted shut) were immediately rectified. Due to cold weather and rain, the crew couldn't work for several days, and this was always communicated to us in a timely fashion--they then would often bring a larger work crew the next day so as to finish the project on time. We were thrilled with the quality of the final work, as the house looks fantastic and we are confident that it will remain in excellent condition for years! They took care to clean up the site thoroughly at the end of the job, and took extra precautions to make sure that our exterior cameras were fully protected. This is an honest company of exceptional professionalism, and we would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to others."

"Marcus beat two other contractors in the area.  He had the highest quality product and best price.  The installation was conducted safely and the cleanup was thorough.  He replaced damaged sections of decking and installed a "cricket" to improve drainage where the damage to the old roof had occurred.  He also installed a Solatube skylight.
It has been over a year since the installation, it has been one of the rainiest on record, and there have been no issues whatsoever.
I would use M&C Roofing again, but not for this house because I'm pretty sure this roof will outlive me.
