"We had two chimney caps replaced as well as new logs and ashes for two gas fireplaces. Pat, Ben, and Kyle were friendly and polite. Everything went well and everything was clean when they left. The reason for the "B" grade in responsiveness is because we had to follow-up with them between their first visit for the estimate and the second visit to do the work. The "B" for price is just because it seems high, but we didn't have another estimate to compare to."

"They took time to inspect chimney, roof area near chimney and attic. Very professional and his recommendations were consistent with contractor who I had give a recommendation. Took time to explain all options and offer choices and info on converting to electric as lowest cost option. Very honest and professional. Will definitely use this company for installation of damper. Called on his way in route and arrived on time. Was very pleased with the service."

"We called Wildlife Evictors based on a friend's recommendation and were not disappointed. There were multiple raccoons driving us crazy making noise in the soffit area on the back of our house. Shinyan came over, found the entry point and installed an exit door, but some of the raccoons wouldn't leave after mangling the exit door. I suggested he install the exit door where the vent is located, so Shinyan installed the exit door there, and they left shortly thereafter. After we were assured they were definitely gone, Shinyan came back and reinstalled the vent. He repairs the house entry points with metal and paints over the metal to blend in with the house. He is punctual and followed up so I didn't have to call him to come back. We were impressed."

"After collecting estimates from a number of highly rated companies, I selected Dr. Roof to replace my roof and gutters. Dr. Roof's estimate was the second most expensive I received, but I chose them for the job because their estimate was by far the most thorough. Oscar spent 2 hours at my house, including going into my attic, to inspect the condition of my roof. He showed me pictures and explained where the damage was and the extent of the work needed. He answered all my questions and went over the estimate line by line. Because the estimate was so thorough, my final charge barely deviated from the estimate. The only variable charge was the cost of new decking, which is charged by the number of sheets that have to be replaced--and that isn't known until the old roof is stripped off. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the work of both the roofing crew and gutter crew. Both crews left my property immaculate. We have had several periods of heavy rain since the work was completed, and the roof and gutters are handling the rain perfectly. Why didn't I give Dr. Roof an A rating? Well, they aren't as responsive as they should be--especially given that many of their clients are paying five figures for work to be completed. I expect a higher level of customer service from providers. At every turn, I had to follow up with Dr. Roof to get an answer--getting a corrected estimate to include the charge for new gutters, getting shingle samples so my HOA could approve the color, getting the work scheduled (calls for both the roof and gutter scheduling), getting a correct invoice. It took multiple phone calls and/or e-mails by me at every step. For example, I e-mailed the staff member in charge of billing with some questions I had about my invoice. No reply. Five days later I called only to learn she had been on vacation. Everywhere I've ever worked, I've been required to put an out-of-office message on my e-mail and voicemail greeting to let people know I'm not in the office and who they can contact in my absence. In any event, Dr. Roof does superior quality work and I've already recommended them to a friend. I would hire them again. If they improved their responsiveness and professionalism, they would earn an A rating from me."

"Overall, Bear Mountain did a good job re-painting my home. And you will probably find that they are cheaper than some painters if you get a lot of quotes. I would say you’ll be satisfied with the paint job, but don’t use them for any repairs, and be aware that they will do the minimum necessary to complete the job. You are getting what you pay for. A basic paint job. I do not like what they consider “touch up” and how they bill. It seems like touch up could be anything from a small missed spot, to an entire corner missed, to something in the contract not completed. In other words, I think they use “touch up” a little too loosely. Their invoices will state that payment is due upon “substantial” completion. So, as you could imagine, they will want payment and could consider many things touch up, when I would consider it, job incomplete. What happened with me is after a quick glance I thought they were 100% done, and didn’t even see touch up items, and I paid them. But, later on I noticed areas where the paint was thinly sprayed on, a corner board not painted, nail holes not filled in, and an attic vent I stressed should be painted with extra care because it’s really old wood, which was not. And with that vent screen which should be replaced which was not. I even reminded the lead guy while he was here. I played phone tag with them to try and get them back for touch up. I’ve been very busy at my job and would miss their call. I would call back and they would say that the person who called already left or was not available. Then I honestly was afraid even if they came back they wouldn’t do this attic vent right, so I just took care of it. I was afraid because they aren’t craftsmen or carpenters first. They are painters - even though they advertise they do all the repair stuff too. I would recommend you hire a quality carpenter if you need any repairs done. They replaced some flashing for me, attempted to screw part of it down through cement (unique situation - long story). You can tell they had trouble with this part and just left screw holes in a few spots where they couldn’t get the screws to grip into the cement. I also needed a fascia board replaced. They forgot at first, but did come back and did that on the last day. I know they forgot because why would you replace a board after painting the area? And, it was done in a rough manner in my opinion. It just seems like the carpentry side of their crew members may not be their strong suit. And because that’s the vibe I got - I didn’t want them to come back and attempt to re-do anything honestly. That parts on me I guess. In short, since they may not hurt your wallet as much as certain companies, I’d say, use them for your exterior paint job, but maybe before they come out, have someone else you really trust do any wood rot repairs, or other carpentry work. It also depends on how picky you are. Perhaps the level of quality I’m looking for just doesn’t exist anymore. Or, doesn’t exist in my price range."

"Marcus showed up when he said he would and did a complete inspection of the roof and attic and provided an estimate for the roof replacement before he left.  M&C went out of their way to work with my insurance.  They showed up on time and worked hard all day to finish the job the same day!...before more rain hit!  David showed up the next day to finish cleaning up and used a magnet to pick up nails that had fallen into the yard and bushes.  He also completed a few finishing touches that we requested. We are very satisfied with the service, quality and professionalism M & C roofing showed.  Even the staff I spoke with over the phone were extremely friendly and helpful.  Marcus takes his time to explain everything to you and answers all questions.  He does not make you feel like he is in a hurry to get to the next site.  Very respectful group of folks.  Although M & C was not the cheapest quote I received, I feel I made the correct decision in hiring them.  The price was not that much more, but the quality and professionalism was.  The new roof looks great and I am confident my family is protected for years to come!

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."
