"Completed an upgrade to our 40-year-old kitchen w VKB Kitchen & Bath. Calvin worked closely w us on the design to get small cabinet and counter space in our townhouse. Al was our PM for the demolition and build-out phases. Al had the challenge as PM to coordinate demolition, new flooring on 1st level, electrical changes, cabinet installs and new fixtures that we purchased. They installed new disposal and ceiling fixture at no charge. No change orders on project. No gaps on work sequence. Finished in half of the contracted days. Great company, designer and PM."

The dormer was a complicated project, requiring coordination of framers, roofers, painters, electricians, drywall installers, hardwood installers, and probably others I forgot to mention. Dave’s people did great work, always polite and on time. Most importantly, Dave himself was proactive, always in close contact and quickly responsive. He never tried to upsell us, or sell additional work — I had to ask him to look at our deteriorated front steps after work started on the dormer, and was happy that he could fit that project in for us, too. "GTL Remodeling was disappointing because Keith Hallam, their representative, seemed to be very knowledgeable and wasb the first to come to the house inn order to provide a quoten but after promising a quote by Oct. 11 orb at the latest Oct. 14,, I have still not received a quote or heard from them at all. Keith also promised that his company could complete the job before Christmas. I think that he discovered they could not keep his promise and chose not to submit a quote. This is very poor customer service and If I cant depend on them keeping their word, then I cant depend on them at all."

The window replacements were done 3-4 years ago.  The windows are good quality.  The measurement of one window was not done properly and the installer did a fix by adding spray foam.  The deck was done 2 years ago.  The deck installers were fired as they made so many mistakes.  The deck install was suppose to be done in a week, it took 3 weeks.

I had a service tech com out to check a deck problem in May.  He is no longer working there and was laid off with almost all of the staff in Gaithersburg.  I called over a week ago for a service follow-up call.  The receptionist in Baltimore answered the phone, as there is no one in Gaithersburg and the phones are forwarded.  I am still waiting more than a week for a follow-up service phone call to be returned by the person who schedules service calls.   I have no idea how long it will take before someone can come to my home.  I am concerned that if I had a major problem, I would be waiting months to get a window repaired.

"Ron our site manager responded quickly to any questions or concerns we had about the project. Chris, who did the majority of the work was very professional and considerate. He was on time every morning and if he wasn't coming out that day he called to let us know. We have not had any issues with the work that was done and are very happy with the addition. We would definitely use Coastal Builders again.

I had a vision and Mr. Rodriguez helped being it to life.  We hit one roadblock with an old radiator but he made a beautiful cover for it so I was very happy in the end!
