"We hired Pacific Outdoor Living to relandscape our backyard, installing all new stone, turf, pool coping and reshaping the whole space. Khalil was an outstanding project manager - always communicating what was going to get done by when and they moved very quickly. Khalil was not going to be happy unless we were thrilled and he delivered! Khalil also had to contend with a simultaneous project that we had going on in the same space of an ADU renovation - and he was very accommodating and communicative during the process to help it all go smoothly. The guys doing the masonry work were fantastic - taking the care to do perfect work on a project that required laying a lot of stone tile on the patio and around the pool. Our backyard is beautiful now and I would highly recommend Pacific Outdoor Living to anyone needing landscape work of any size."

"Working with Irit and Raul and their team was a dream. From beginning to end, they treated our pool build as if it they were doing it for themselves. They took meticulous care with our property, including making it possible for our dog and toddler to continue to safely use the yard throughout construction, and cleaning dust and debris from the site daily. Their attention to detail was evident from the very beginning, when they cleaned up permit filing errors made by our previous contractor and engineer. They provided clear and accurate estimates and cost breakdowns. Their team showed up reliably 5 days a week (and sometimes Saturday’s!) and there was visible progress made every single day— it was clear they were moving along efficiently, and when Raul walked us through nuts and bolts of the process, we saw that he was doing the highest quality of work (even the company we eventually hired to maintain the pool commented on how well it was built!). We started the pool build intending to do the landscaping at another time, but we saw quickly that Irit’s expertise would elevate the whole project, and contracted Aqua Care for landscaping as well. "Overall grade: “A”. Summary: Aqua Concepts rebuilt most of my pool (70-year-old, 20’x40’, 9’ deep maindrain, rectangular pool) from the rebar on up, replastered the pool, added new steps, pressure tested my maindrain, installed a split maindrain, and recommended a pool Startup party that I am very happy with. Time Frame: May-June 2021 (COVID time) Issues\Complaints: None My AquaConcepts contact: Chris was always available to answer my questions whether by text, phone call, or in-person visit. He did so in a timely manner. He also suggested alternate approaches and ideas that could be implemented during the rebuild. Very helpful. Background: Initially I planned only to replaster the pool. The surface looked OK except for a few “red spots” in the shallow end. Those spots turned out to be rusted rebar that had penetrated the plaster! This finding changed the entire nature of the job. AquaConcepts dug several “windows” into the plaster and it was evident that rust was widespread. To affect a reasonable rebuild price, they built a new rebar shell (say 6” above the old one), covered both rebar frames with shotcrete (at 3500 psi), bead blasted my existing tile (came out pretty good looking) and all this for half the price of a new pool (new pool of this size: 80-90k.) They also built the rebar shell for the new steps. (As I’m retired, I watched every step of the rebuild closely, asked lots of questions, and enjoyed the process)."

"My husband and I are thrilled with our new backyard! From the beginning Andrew understood our needs and worked on a design that would give us more usable space for our family gatherings. Andrew is jus wonderful to work with! He is attentive to your needs and concerns and has an incredible vision for hardscape design and landscape. Once the design was done, they had to demolish existing cement and level our whole backyard to have more usable space. They installed pavers, lighting, gas lines for our fire pit and grill and landscape. It all came together even better than we ever imagined! The whole team was led by our project manager, Alvaro, who is a pleasure to work with. Every worker that was brought in was professional, punctual, and tidied up before they left for the day. Alvaro was always responsive and accommodating with the changes that we thought needed to be done along the way and still the project was completed on time and within the budget. We wish we could give more than 5 stars and cannot recommend this company enough! Hiring California Smartscape was the best decision we could have made and one we will enjoy for many years to come!!"

"Our house needed a lot of important work. We wanted to add heating, but it turned into a big renovation project with the help of BaRick. We talked to different companies for ideas, and Rick was friendly, nice, and asked helpful questions. He gave us three choices (Good / Better / Best) and explained why each could work. He knew the rules of our city and had good ideas to make our plans even better. In the end, we added 400 square feet and basically rebuilt the whole house. We upgraded everything - from the roof, to plumbing, to electricity, to the outside walls. The final result looks amazing, and we love the work that was done. The project finished on time, but it cost more than we planned because of unexpected things like lead and asbestos, and extra things we wanted, like a high ceiling in the living room and improving the front of the house. Rick kept the team on track and worked hard to finish as soon as possible. I really suggest Dezign Construction - especially Rick as the project manager. He was great at keeping everything on schedule, and Courtney had fantastic ideas for how things should look inside. We're proud that our kitchen & master bathroom are on their website. I know I might not be easy to work with, because I'm a project manager and my husband is an electrician. But Rick & his team handled us well and our home is much better now."
