"Raj had to fix what contractors left undone or incorrectly undone. He created a new custom door saddle and had to cut the exterior and interior exit doors and did a fabulous job. In addition, he finished carpentry work on my basement window which was also left undone. He custom made an interior waste trap door. Finally all doors were painted. All his work was performed excellently and neatly. He came up with thoughtful solutions. We negotiated prices. Raj was very reasonable in making adjustments to the cost of the project. I like his work so much that I hired him for a separate project. His work is superior and I feel luck to have found a contractor that was willing to repair what the first contractor left undone. "Overall, I am very happy with the work. They actually completed it about 9 months ago, but I wanted to wait to see if any problems developed before fully commenting and I am happy to say all is well. Paragon was pretty prompt in following up on my initial inquiry with a detailed review of the work I wanted done and estimate that I could easily compare to others and note similarities and differences. In the end, the estimate was within 5% or so of the actuals even when unexpected situations arose once the walls were opened. The crew arrived early on most days and worked diligently. There was no "drama" with workers not showing up, not getting along or not doing what they were supposed to do. The only complication that weighed down my assessment was that within the first week of the work starting, the project manager left due to medical reasons. While this could not be avoided, this meant that there was no project manager on my job to keep me apprised of the plans for the week, etc. Tom, the owner, stepped in and personally managed the job for the duration. While I think he did an admirable job, I'm sure that this was difficult to manage with everything else. As we got to parts of the project where work was done but had to wait for inspections, the value of having a dedicated project manager was apparent. There were days that the guys were not scheduled to come and I didn't know that until about 9 am when no one was here, and I called the office. Or maybe they only needed to come for a few hours vs the whole day, and I was not informed in advance. Having said all this, I think overall things went well and I have received many compliments. Everything was done in about 2 1/2-3 months and I was never without a working toilet and shower. I would use them again for similar work."

"After Hurricane Sandy, half of my mother's roofing shingles had blown off of her home as well as causing chimney damage and a water leakage problem from the chimney into the interior of her kitchen. After checking Angie's List for contractors, I hired City Wide Construction & Renovation.
After viewing the damage, Mr. Nadeem Mughal gave me a very good estimate for all of the repairs. His crew were always on time; they worked expeditiously and neatly and all were very respectful to Mom. Nadeem was a pleasure to speak with and was always courteous and professional with anything I asked of him. They matched the shingles as perfectly as they could, and the roof never looked so good.
They patched and repaired the leak coming into the kitchen which had caused damage to the wallpaper. After repairing the leak, they removed the damaged wallpaper; they supplied the wallpaper glue and then cut the portion of the wallpaper that Mom had saved, and patched that portion of the wall so well, that you cannot even see where the damage had been.
All three problems were beautifully repaired, and Mom and I are both very pleased. Nadeem guarantees all of his work for 5 years, and THAT alone says a lot about the contractor. I would highly recommend Nadeem and his men. Job well done.
