"From the person answering the phone to the serviceman, all interactions were polite and professional. They got someone out to check out the problem (water on the basement floor around my a/c unit, which was not cooling well) on the same day I called, during a heat wave. The serviceman did a fair amount of work to find the problem. After he added refrigerant to the system it was working just fine, and with his suggestion I realized I didn't need to have the temperature set as low as I had been doing. The place stayed cool at a higher setting because it was working more efficiently and really pulling the humidity out of the air."

"For over 20 years my wife and I used another A rated Angie’s List heating and air conditioning firm and we have given them good reviews in the past. Recently our 20+ year old heater started acting up. At times throughout the day or night the burner wouldn’t ignite and we would be without heat. After seven service calls and various parts at the cost of $700.00 our old service company could not repair the heater and the problem remained unresolved. So we decided to get estimates to replace our entire HVAC system mainly due to it’s age and this unsolved problem. Vaughan Heating and Air Conditioning was on our list of acceptable companies to speak with due to their Angie’s List A rating. We called Vaughan and they sent Tony Pellegrino to our home the next day. My wife and I were very impressed with Tony. He spent over an hour at our home scoping out our basement, configuring our new system and answering our questions. Later that day we received the Vaughan estimate that Tony sent by email. I called Tony and he spent another hour on the phone addressing my questions and concerns. We received the other competitor's estimates over the next two days. We accepted the Vaughan’s estimate which was $1,100.00 more then the lowest estimate and $2,500.00 less then the highest estimate we received. Our choice was based on our comfort level with Tony, the price of the job, the longevity of the company (established in 1937) and the quality of the heating and air conditioning units that Vaughan installs. We accepted the Vaughan estimate on Saturday evening and Tony scheduled our job that coming week on Tuesday (for the heater) and Thursday (for the air conditioner). The reason for the one day in between work was because they squeezed our job into an already full week of installations and we were really pleased that they did that for us. On Tuesday morning at 8:30am the installer’s, Marcus and Jeff were at our house ready to start the job. These guys were friendly, professional, extremely competent and also very neat and clean, covering our rugs, etc. Jeff and Marcus did and exceptional job installing our new HVAC system. It’s “state of the art”! My wife and I are extremely happy with the job Vaughan Heating & Air Conditioning did and we could not be more comfortable, then we are now, in our home. "They were awesome. The heating was well and it is more efficient for an air conditioning. The electricity to run all four units cost the same as one conventional old style window air conditioning unit. They came out and inspected the property to figure out the best placement of every unit. It took them two days to install it and they're very professional, clean, they explained everything very well and they gave you tons of references to call to ask about them. We tried the air and everybody loved them so I have nothing bad to say about them."

"Andrew came out & he told me that my a/c unit was flat on charge & that I needed freon. He told me that my a/c was way past its designed lifespan (it was actually 20 years old). What opened my eyes is that Andrew did a diligent job diagnosing the unit. Instead of just re-filling the system & leaving (which would have costed me fortune) & having the freon just leak out again, Andrew performed a leak check first & discovered that I had multiple leaks inside my evaporator coil. But its how he explained it to me that made me comfortable in knowing that he had me & my families best interest at heart. It wasn't a pressured sales pitch, Andrew sat me & my wife down & he went over all of our available options. Me & my wife decided to replace the a/c unit next spring because at the time money was extremely tight. But its what Andrew did next that just blew me & my wife away. He filled up our system anyway free of charge just to get us by that terrible heat wave. He was a total professional from start to finish & he cared for our needs. Me & my wife would definitely purchase a new R-410a air conditioner system from Herring's Home Quality Services next spring. I would highly recommend this company to ALL of family & friends."
