"This by far was the best landscaping company that I had that serviced my yard and I had multiple companies in the past. They are extremely professional and meticulous with their work. They were so good with my project that multiple neighbors from my street messaged me about them and some of them inquired about them personally. Family owned company that services with that southern charm! Excellent Company!"

"I contacted Jody to let him know the deck he built for us about 3 summers ago needed to be repainted. He let me know he had other jobs but would get back to us as soon as he could. A week or so later he notified me they (meaning him and his crew I thought.) would be over on Tuesday to start the job. When he came he brought a sub-contractor he used for painting jobs and the sub-contractor gave the deck a good clean, then said he would return the next day around 10:00 am as he had another job to go to first. The next day the sub-contractor did not show when expected and I texted Jody that he was not here as promised. Jody asked what time the sub-contractor was due and I told him 10AM. Well, it was almost 2pm before anyone showed up and the sub-contrator brought 2 helper with him. He showed them what to do and then left. They were to do a double coat on the entire deck. When they were ready to leave they said they did paint the deck itself several times as it dried, but only one coat on the railing and post as that was all that was needed. Herein is where my first problem came in that I was paying for 2 coats on the entire deck, and in my opinion when one says a double coat.. it doesn't mean going over where they painted a second time as they are still painting the first coat. A second coat means.... painting the entire deck... then repeat. Well, they splashed paint onto the house and left areas in between the deck boards undone, and got paint on the brick patio as well. The sub contractor was suppose to come back, but in the late AM Jody came by to supposedly finish the job. He looked it over, and left...then latter the sub-contractor came back and had another helper this time. They washed the paint off the house, and painted in between the boards and did a decent job. In the end the deck looks good, but we were not satisfied with the overall service and the price was too high. He doubled the price since we wanted 2 coat, even though it really took no more time. And they failed to do a second coat on the railings and post. He charged us $700 in labor and $190 for the paint. In our opinion he should have only charged about $700 at the most for the entire deck as that is what his sub-contractor told us he thought. He has yet to ever come and check the final job... This was the last time he will be asked to do any work for us."

"<p>We are really happy with the result. Lee sketched out his suggestions after we told him what we wanted and gave us ideas that would not only make more sense in terms of the layout, but that would save us money. Mark and his helper worked for several weeks on this project, and as this is a vacation home, we weren't always around, but they responded to our calls almost immediately. This was a very labor-intensive job, as dirt had to be brought in in wheelbarrow loads, as there was no access to the rear and side yards that was large enough for a Bobcat or larger machinery. They were always asking, as the job progressed, whether what they were doing fit in with what we had envisioned, and were happy to adapt to our wishes. A great job!</p> <br />"

"This started about 2 weeks before Christmas. Our first step was with our sales reps.. Ben and Lori, an amazing helpful team, who listened to all of our wants and our price range. After completing our wish list, Ben and Lori took me thru their stock room to select the granite that I wanted. Although there samples (full sized sheets of granite) were extensive, I still was not finding exactly what I wanted. They then gave me the name of 2 of there suppliers, to give me an even larger amount to choose from. Then we found the perfect slabs. <br /> I had someone at my home to measure and template my kitchen, within 48 hours. Once the templates were done, they had the pieces cut out in two days and were ready to install. Within the same week, we were scheduled for a full installation. We did not only want our counters done, we also wanted a full wall back splash done. <br /> Understandably, that would take more time to complete. But, knowing that the holidays were within days, My installation crew Francesco and Orlando ( two of the greatest craftsman I have ever dealt with), got the entire kitchen done, in the same day. Including the full wall back splash. They worked with so much attention to detail, you would think this was their own home that they were installing in. <br /> At one point I did misunderstood a question that Francesco asked of me, and that caused an area of granite, not to be installed. I explained to Francesco that I did misunderstand him, and he scheduled a date to come back and add the piece where I wanted it. Our kitchen was fully completed right after Christmas Day. And is beautiful. <br /> We plan on haveing all of our bathrooms redone, and will only consider Granie and Marble Warehouse to do the job. We felt that everyone there wanted us to be completely satisfied with our kitchen and their work. We could not be any happier. They provided great value and service, Their teams are all friendly, warm professional and eager to please. From Juan the owner to the crews that did all of the various steps and even cleaned up the kitchen when done. We thank you and are looking forward to working with you again. We highly recommend Granite and Marble Warehouse to any one considering having work done. <br />"

FAQs for gravel or loose fill paving install, spread or scrape projects in Sylvania, GA

To calculate how much pea gravel you need for your project, multiply the length, width, and depth of the area you want to cover to find the volume in cubic feet. Then, divide that number by 27 to convert it to cubic yards to determine the amount of pea gravel you need.

A yard of pea gravel weighs about 1.3 tons or 2,600 pounds. Keep in mind that wet gravel weighs more than dry, and different types of gravel can vary in weight. For example, due to its density, river rock weighs significantly more than crushed stone and pea gravel.

The ideal depth for pea gravel depends on the type and size of your project. You'll need at least two to three inches for walkways and patios and a minimum of six inches for driveways to support heavy vehicles and prevent shifting over time. Aim for a depth of three to four inches in decorative garden beds or drainage areas.

Pea gravel is attractive, versatile, and low-maintenance. It provides excellent drainage, making it ideal for pathways, driveways, and garden beds. On the downside, its sharp texture isn't ideal for bare feet, and it can be challenging to weed or remove once installed. It can also shift underfoot without proper edging, creating an uneven surface.

Alternative landscaping materials you can use instead of pea gravel include wood chips, decomposed granite, crushed stone, pebbles, quartz, mulch, sand, and river rock. These materials offer different aesthetics, performance, and costs, so it’s important to do your research to determine which one best fits your landscape design and budget.

Many homeowners choose pea gravel because it requires minimal upkeep compared to other landscaping materials. You'll need to rake it occasionally to redistribute the stones and maintain an even surface. Pros also recommend installing weed barrier fabric beneath the gravel to prevent unwanted growth, although some weeds may still appear over time.
