Alex was able to figure out creative solutions to our small space (moving pipes, adding a fake beam, making use of empty space, etc.). And his employees are very talented. The carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, cabinet installation, and overall attention to detail was top notch. They showed up nearly every day by 8am and worked until 5pm. Incredible work ethic all around. I would highly recommend using them for your next home remodeling project."

"Sidney and his crew were amazing. We had a lot to have done…remove the wall paneling and replace with drywall after putting in new insulation, remove an old non-working AC unit that was in the wall, remove the popcorn ceiling, replace the French doors with sliding glass doors and paint but the biggest dilema was our fireplace. It was a large corner fireplace that had “wings” which took up a large part of the room. We wanted to remove the wings and make it just a corner fireplace. They found a way to make it look nice and we are so pleased with the results. Sidney originally gave a 2-3 week timeframe to finish the room but his crew of three came every day for eight hours and had everything done in less than nine days! We are so happy with the results! I highly recommend this company, you will not be disappointed!"

"We loved working with DreamMaker. We had a pretty clear idea of what we wanted our kitchen and dining area to look like, but were unsure if it was going to be possible and what materials should be used. Mr. Everett listened closely to what we wanted and delivered in every aspect. He was able to rearrange our kitchen so that the flow is much better and provide us with custom built-in shelves and bench. He not only pointed us in the right direction for the big things like counter-tops, but also for the backsplash, drawer pulls, and lighting fixtures. All our work was done efficiently and Mr. Everett's team went above and beyond whenever an unexpected problem occurred. I am confident that all the work was done thoroughly and that I will not have any problems in the foreseeable future. The same team arrived promptly at my house every day and worked diligently so that the job was done in the time frame originally quoted to us, despite some additional plumbing work that was necessary. Because the same workers were in my house everyday, I felt comfortable coming and going and knew that my house was in good hands. If I ever had a question or concern about anything, I would text Mr. Everett and he would always get back to me very quickly, even on the weekends or at night. He was also very quick to come to the house if anything was ever needed. I have not experienced such great customer service with any other company. The materials used for our new kitchen are beautiful, and I feel that we had everything done for a very fair price. "Diaz and his crew recently completed a job for our home. It started off with a basement renovation. They installed several sections of missing drywall and reinstalled a set of windows (that were installed incorrectly by a previous contractor). Then they painted our basement, installed new recessed ceiling lighting, placed new moldings and installed flooring with vinyl plank After the basement was completed they completely redid our kitchen and main living area They installed new cabinets and countertops. They redid all of our upstairs lighting. They removed old nonfunctional heaters and redid the floor moldings. They installed a new tile backsplash for our kitchen. Finally they painted and installed new flooring. I can’t say enough great things about this contractor. I found that he and his work crew are extremely proficient and did excellent work. They had incredible attention to detail. The painting, flooring, lighting, and every single thing was absolutely completed to perfection. The team cleaned up thoroughly every single day, and took great pains to minimize the impact of their work on the rest of the house (by placing tarps, drapes, and plastic doorway partitions). I was very happy that a single contractor was able to do all these various different things and still do them so well. Diaz did have specific companies that he worked with to make the cabinets and countertop but we were very happy with the options that he provided. He even helped us set up a visit in person to look at countertops before we made a final decision. Diaz was honest and upfront, and was extremely reliable. He made multiple suggestions throughout the process to improve the renovation and the function of our home, and I really trusted his input. Diaz is highly skilled as a designer as well as a contractor. Diaz stuck to his estimate. As expected with a project like this, extra things did come up along the way that lead to additional cost. But Diaz was upfront with those additional costs, and they all seemed extremely reasonable. If there was any negative it was that Diaz and his crew were always extremely busy. As a result, communication sometimes took a while, and the renovations took a little time (since they were clearly juggling multiple projects at once). However, I do feel that overall Diaz his crew did the job in a timely manner Most importantly, we were extremely happy with the end result. We feel like we’re living in a new house and cannot recommend Diaz highly enough. If you’re looking for a crew that has great attention to detail, a high level of versatility across various contract jobs, and that is extremely trustworthy and reliable, then Diaz and your crew is the right choice. We will definitely use them again the next time something needs to be done at our home."

"This was definitely a 5 star operation from the initial discussions to the finishing touches! For a major renovation and upgrade to our master bathroom we reviewed potential contractors and their customer comments. VKB stood out. Our VKB designer Sean clearly has artistic talent and lots of design experience. He patiently worked with us, showing us 3D design options as we considered alternative configurations and materials. When we were satisfied with the design, Sean transitioned us smoothly to the build phase, introducing Jason as our project manager and Walter as our crew chief. Sean personally familiarized Jason with the project, inviting us to share our thoughts and any concerns. During the renovation, Walter and his crew would carefully isolate the MBR work from the rest of the house, sealing off the room and path to the front door with plastic barriers and floor coverings every morning and remove them every evening. Everyone was polite and sensitive to our living space. Jason was responsive to our wishes to refine several design aspects as the work proceeded, and Walter and his crew smoothly made the alterations. After the main construction was completed Jason remained very attentive to our ‘punch list’ of remaining details and our questions until all had been resolved. Walter ensured very high-quality work down to the finest detail. All the work from design to completion was well within the timeframe we had hoped. In the end, we have a beautiful MBR well beyond our original expectations!"

"I’ve used Allen and his team on multiple projects. He is my go-to contractor because I can trust him to tell me what I need and what I don’t need to have done in a project. His prices may be higher than others but the quality is worth it. In this most recent project, Allen took my laundry area from concrete and concrete block, to a fully finished laundry room complete with new appliances, counters and cabinets for storage and folding, a space for drying clothes to hang, and a closed off utility space. Additionally, he changed a half-bath to a full bathroom with 5-ft shower. To do this, Allen, Jeff, and Ryan had to dig up the concrete floor to move pipes; had to replace copper piping, and reroute ductwork. In doing so, they found that my dryer had been venting into my ceiling rather than outside, which was a fire hazard. I am fortunate that they found this. As the project was wrapping up, I had them paint and add new flooring in the family room adjacent to the laundry and bathrooms. I also had them replace my backyard fencing, relocate the outside spigot and hose attachment. As with all of my projects, Allen’s the attention to detail was beyond compare. He kept me in the loop when problems or decisions need to be made."

"I highly recommend City Renovations and Remodeling to new and experienced homeowners and investors. In fact, Mike Wiggs, owner of the company, was highly recommended to me from a trusted source. Mike has been my designer, general contractor and project manager for over three years. He and his team of subcontractors for all the trades and handymen have successfully completed numerous projects for me. The internal big jobs included Mike and his team remodeling my basement into a permitted apartment with an egress window, injection well system, and recessed lighting; remodeling my kitchen into a larger space, better layout and upgraded appliances, cabinets, backsplashes (e.g., switching from an electric cooktop island to a slide-in gas range and installing a peninsula); changing the location of the sliding door and a set of windows in my sunroom for better flow and sightline from the front door entry to the patio door leading to my wooded backyard; replacing the damaged one of the two HVAC systems (i.e., one for the first floor and basement and the other for the second floor); and whole house interior painting and decorative touches (accent walls, trim, etc.) The external big jobs included Mike and his team resolving the sources of severe water damage to my two-story front door entry area and installing a new door, side lites and stoop. He resolved other water problems at my house by installing upgraded, larger gutters connecting to a new underground drainage system, and re-grading a section of the backyard next to my house in order to better collect water coming onto the house and move it away from the house. The other jobs Mike and his team completed include installing decorative lighting in the front of my house and security lighting at the sides and back; installing and repairing wooden privacy fencing in my backyard; washing away years of mold, mildew and stains from the siding of my house; and installing shelving for two closets and the laundry room to increase my storage space. After years of City Renovations and Remodeling successfully improving or repairing my home, I hired the company to help me with an investment rental property. Mike completed a walk-thru assessment and report to supplement the information from the home inspector and appraiser. Through my pre-purchase consultation with Mike, I got a good idea of what it would take improve the property given my goals and budget.
