"George did an amazing job on our irrigation system. He came with a crew of people and was able to install our irrigation system, which was a large job because it included 13 zones, in one day. He then went into great detail to explain how the system worked once the work was completed. I would not hesitate recommend him to any of my friends."

"We have been Key Sprinkler customers for years (2 complete installations and general maintenance through the years.  This particular service was like all the others - Top notch!  Prompt scheduling; on time arrival; quality service with attention to detail.  The individual performing the work completed the repair we requested and then evaluated our system's overall performance making minor changes to optimize coverage/reliability. <br />"

"Great, they came out and discovered that while I was away that the controller for the sprinklers was apparently affected by thunder and lightening, they were able to reset it and had to reprogram because it was scrambled. The gentleman checked front and back sprinklers reset and installed a battery for me ( i supplied the battery). They also replaced one sprinkler head that was incorrect for the area that needed to be watered."

"Cody was our serviceman and he did a great job. He analyzed our system; replaced the old sprinkler controller; checked all of the watering zones and sprinkler heads; repaired a broken head that had been buried by the COA during a sidewalk installation in front of our house; and showed us how to program the new controller. Cody was punctual, professional, and very knowledgeable about lawn sprinkler systems. I would call on this company again in the future and recommend them to anyone. Great service!"

"The staff was extremely helpful. We were clueless as to which soil and how much to get. The manager walked us through, asking us exactly what were trying to accomplish and how big the yard is. She is highly knowledgeable about Central Texas planting and gave us great advice. She even told me which soil would save me a step because I could lay on top of the old soil and not bother with tilling it in. After we paid for our soil, we lined up for the front loaders and were on our way. Putting the topsoil in the yard was a breeze. You could tell it was of great quality because it looked very dark and rich compared to our old compacted soil and clay. It also had a great earthy smell. We put the grass sod down, and two weeks later it seems to be growing very well. It seems silly to pay so much for dirt, but it was well worth it."

"Was REALLY happy with A.I. Sprinklers. Originally had another company check the system. They basically couldn't get it going. Israel returned my call very quickly and was able to go out to the property within several days. He got the system going within about 45 minutes or so and kept cost to a minimal. Seems honest and knows his stuff when it comes to irrigation repair. I HIGHLY recommend him. <br />"

"I have them come out every spring to clear lines, adjust sprinkler heads, and get the system ready for the Texas summer. System always works great when they're done and the price is very reasonable."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Taylor, TX

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
